Katie is a firefighter, a mom and a brain tumour survivor.
Her story shows why we’re doubling down on our $3.4 billion Primary Care Action Plan, which has already connected more than half a million more people to a family doctor or primary care provider since last January.

Alberta voters have overwhelmingly chosen a stronger, more prosperous future for their province by remaining in Canada.
I’m thrilled by the decisive support Albertans have shown for the country we all love. Now it’s up to the rest of Canada to deliver on our commitment to Alberta by building new pipelines, unlocking our natural resources and unleashing the prosperity that will protect the future of Canadians from coast to coast to coast.

Today marks three years since the horrific terrorist attack carried out by Hamas against the people of Israel on October 7, 2023, which killed approximately 1,200 people, injured thousands and saw 251 people taken hostage.
On this solemn anniversary, we remember the victims and stand with their families and loved ones whose lives were forever changed by the horrific events of October 7.
In the years since, Jewish communities across Ontario and around the world have faced a troubling rise in antisemitism. Our government stands firmly with Ontario’s Jewish community and has taken strong action to protect the right of everyone across our province to practise their faith freely and without fear.

The cost of defending Canada’s sovereignty isn’t something that shows up on the private sector’s balance sheet.
Ontario is ready to step up with the patient capital needed to ensure that the Northern Shield Energy Corridor gets built, so jobs are created and Canada’s energy and economic sovereignty are protected.

I’m in Calgary today meeting with Premier Smith and energy executives about our plan to protect Canadian sovereignty by securing Canadian energy.
The Northern Shield Energy Corridor is at the heart of this plan, transporting Canadian energy in a pipeline made by Canadian workers using Canadian steel along an all-Canadian route.

By cutting red tape, we’ve saved people and business in Ontario 1.8 million working hours and $1.3 billion every year. We’re giving people back more of their time and money so we can attract investment and build the most competitive economy in the G7.

I’m disgusted by the shooting that took place outside the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville earlier this evening as Jewish community members gathered to mark Yom Kippur.
My thoughts are with the Jewish community in Belleville and across Ontario, who have every right to gather and worship safely and without fear. I expect that all those responsible are arrested and prosecuted to the full extent of the law.
My thoughts are also with the police officer who was shot, along with their family and loved ones. We owe an immense debt of gratitude to this brave officer and to all the first responders who acted so quickly to keep the community safe.

I want to wish Jewish communities across Ontario a meaningful Yom Kippur.
On this holiest day in the Jewish calendar, may this time of reflection, prayer and renewal bring peace and hope to all those observing.

Buy Ontario. Buy Canadian.
For governments across Ontario, it’s not an option. It’s the law.
Now, more than ever, we need a Team Canada approach to protect our workers, businesses and communities.
Yesterday, I wrote to Ontario’s 444 municipalities to make clear our expectation that they fully comply with Buy Ontario policies and maximize the use of Ontario and Canadian goods and services.
In the face of U.S. tariffs, every procurement dollar matters. Together, we will stand up for our workers, strengthen our economy and protect Ontario.
