I see more and more young artists complaining about prices other artists are charging for things.
As an older guy now whoβs been a professional artists for decades let me just weigh in.
First, the market and their audience decides prices, not other artists. When you whine about other artists you sound bitter. Not a good look.
Second, if youβre constantly complaining about high art prices youβre essentially a participant in cultivating a culture that monetarily devalues art. Good luck making a living yourself with art in the future in the world youβre creating.
Third, watch out for being a crab in the bucket. Always trying to pull down the ones above you trying to move up. If you know people like this in real life you know you hate being around them.
Lastly, the internet thrives on negativity not goodness. Try and use it for good.
All of the Stock Art I drew for October! This was a fun folk horror month. Everything will go into @DriveThruRPG and IndieTTRPGs.com in November, but you can still snag the collection on Patreon.com/deeplydapper for twenty bucks if you need some spooky stock art!
Just a simple one today, something that should be useful for a lot of circumstances. (Though obviously, less useful than The Post.)

Anyone picking up ABSOLUTE WONDER WOMAN #25 tomorrow, please consider checking out BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN LIVES #1 as well -- it's from me and @MattiaIulis (your AWW Annual team!) and we love it so much. I feel like anyone enjoying AWW will enjoy Bride as well:

I believe this will be considered one of the most important videos in US history from this time.
Every village needs a pastor to soothe souls and get villagers fired up. I based his appearance on the actor Vincent Romeo from BLOODY TENNIS, which is a weird body horror sports movie that is better than its name, but... not a lot better.

AOC: "As AI begins to encroach in our society, their goal is to take your cognition away from you. AI's goal is to take your thoughts away from you, your ability to think away from you, so that you become dependent on a machine ... reading books is active resistance"
I'll probably slip a cryptid into these themes whenever I can, and the Loveland Frogman seems to fit the folk horror vibe quite nicely. I wanted to capture the look of something misbegotten.

Released the border elements I designed for this month's theme today. I based these on Victorian dandelion illustrations, and I think they're pretty cool. patreon.com/deeplydapper/posβ¦
I was so excited when I saw Bryan Fuller in the prom scene in Carrie. Which, I admit, is a strange thing to be excited about.

I swear SOMETHING broke in society after 2020 and nobody wants to talk about it.
And Iβm not talking about masks, lockdowns, or COVID. I mean the FEELING of life.
Everything reopened. We went back to work. Restaurants filled up. Events came back. But somehow life still feels⦠different.
Years disappear faster. People feel more disconnected. Everything feels more expensive, stressful & rushed.
And somehow weβre all constantly exhausted. I canβt even explain exactly what we lost. I just know life before 2020 felt more ALIVE.
Tell me Iβm not the only one who feels this.

Final days on my weird game about throwing skeletons at each other! It hasn't gotten a lot of overall attention, but I think it's super fun, and it'll be cool to have a game that goes with the Skelly Boys.
