Yesterday was my longest unsupervised period walking around Chicago. So of course I #thriftfu. @buffaloexchange I met @indigoluminos, a @Voltron cosplayer. #defendedbe I'm returning to NYC today w/a duffel bag more than when I left; that excludes what @VoltronStore shipped me.

In the vendor area the @VoltronStore was putting the finishing touches on their booth. I knew I'd be spending big w/them this weekend, & mentioned that the Pidge @OriginalFunko was the last I needed. Minutes later their rep put it into my hands, saying, "Take it." #defendedbe

To put together certain puzzles, it's necessary to break their pieces down into even smaller components. I'm trying to keep that in mind as I grapple with this enigma like Hercules with The Nemean Lion. But oh, what an enviable lion headdress I'll sport when I'm done. #defendedbe

While I'm scrambling to be sufficiently prepared for @VoltCon next weekend, I do hope it becomes an annual event w/which I'll remain affiliated, b/c if I get my A-game up in the next year I may have some killer @DefendedBe merch of varying luxury to bring to the fore. #defendedbe

A certain project has been held up for too long b/c I underestimated the difficulty of hand-sewing a costume, despite having little experience doing so. Today I'm saying "screw it" & using what I've got so I can finally get it out the door & move onto the next steps. #defendedbe
