Pusing!」

The rupiah looks increasingly vulnerable to hitting a new all-time low against the US dollar. I maintain that Bank Indonesia should have raised its benchmark interest rate, particularly given the increasingly unfavorable global monetary environment, persistent pressure on the rupiah and rising country risk premium. Instead, the new BI Governor, Destry Damayanti, appears more concerned about preserving growth than addressing the risks building in the currency market. I cannot help but question whether political pressure to support President Prabowo’s growth ambitions is influencing BI’s reluctance to tighten monetary policy. Central bank independence is not just about what the law says. It is about having the willingness to make unpopular decisions when economic conditions demand them. If BI continues prioritizing short-term growth at the expense of currency stability, the bond and FX markets may eventually force a much more painful adjustment. Goodbye, BI independence? I increasingly worry that we are heading in that direction.

agak aneh dan intrusive ini. jamaah umroh pergi dgn uang sendiri, tapi diatur harus terbang lewat mana? waktu saya bawa ortu umroh dgn saudi airlines, terpaksa lewat KL krn saudi dgn full reclined seats business class nggak ada yg terbang dari kualanamu. sebelum mengatur orang terbang naik apa, perbaiki dulu ekosistemnya, jadi nanti jamaah akan memilih sendiri yg paling nyaman utk mereka. bukan krn diatur-atur.
Jamaah Umrah kami himbau untuk memilih penerbangan langsung.

Formr trade Minister M Lutfi's obsessive+endless anti Singapore attacks r mind blowing. I servd w Lutfi for a decade under Pres SBY when he workd hard to advance RI Singapore cooperation on trade + investment (Lutfi was minister for both) .. I dont know what is happening to him, and why the sudden change of heart to wreck his many contributions to RI Singapore relations, which is so unlike him, but i sincerely hope he is okay ..

Sure.... sounds good. Lets test it out: which flight ticket is cheaper? Direct. Or stop overs? @Grok care to share the answer in Bahasa Indonesia and explain the economic efficiency of both?

I wonder if SG govt would actually do any concrete punitive actions against any of them.... it would be a cross border action essentially.... Gonna be super complicated to execute.
I mean, look at this. Mantaps!

1.      Regarding the current Indonesia-Singapore tensions, there has been tit-for-tat online rhetoric about cutting subsea internet cables. This is disturbing on many levels. cnbcindonesia.com/tech/20261…

Herannya yang diimbau buat ngga transit di SG/MY itu cuma masyarakat, harusnya sekalian aja imbau pejabat buat ngga berobat di SG/MY. Mereka yang pengen naikin isu nasionalisme tapi masyarakat yang disuruh susah. Giliran ke sesama pejabat ngga berani.

Indonesians. Singapore isnt your enemy. We lend your government the most money and invest the most money in your country (amongst all countries in the world. Your success is our success. Your enemy is someone else.
Hmm…
