What if bookmarks could look beautiful and you could sort them according to your projects, clients and more, in a better way than using folders? #chromeextensions #freelancing #projectmanagement

Algorithms and data structures are two of the fundamental topics in computer science. All programmers will encounter them, and they often come up in job interviews. You can learn all about algorithms and data structures in this free 6-hour course. freecodecamp.org/news/algori…

America’s digital divide is never more apparent than today. On the one hand, GitLab, an open source, massively distributed company just IPOed at 2x the valuation of GitHub. On the other, the governor of Missouri just ruled that viewing HTML is criminal hacking.

An average developer who knows how to communicate and work in a team is much more valuable for a company than a 10x superstar developer.

After shipping multiple projects with #TypeScript, I wouldn't go back to JS. Yes, TypeScript requires extra work up front to declare types. But, then I get: ✅Clearer code ✅Safe refactoring ✅Compile-time errors ✅Superb autocomplete So, TS saves more time than it costs. 🔥

forget this "reverse an array", "fizbuzz", or "write a binary tree" nonsense. a real interview would be "you are given a broken function, an error message, and access to Google searches and Github issues. find out what the hacky workaround based on issue comments and fix it"

I can finally say I agree.
Things that scare me as a developer: • Refactoring code written in JavaScript (i.e. not TypeScript)

Oh look, a thread from almost three years ago. I still believe all of this. It’s still true. 🧵
If you are a developer, and you feel bad about not knowing everything, I have one item I want you to memorize: No one knows everything. No one. The best coders in the world only know a small fraction of everything there is to know about coding.
