The 62nd batch of DANICS Probationers visited the Archives Department on 29.10.2026 as part of their field exposure. During the visit, the officers were shown the Stack Area, the Library, the Bhagat Singh Archives and Resource Centre, and the Microfilm Section.
The visit gave them first-hand insight into how records are preserved, organised and made accessible.

On the second day of ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, Chief Minister Smt. Rekha Gupta launched the ‘Heritage Club Scheme’.
As a pilot project, Heritage Clubs will be established in 75 CM SHRI Schools and subsequently extended to all Delhi Government schools. The initiative will take Delhi’s children beyond textbooks, bringing them closer to their rich heritage while nurturing a sense of pride and responsibility towards its preservation.
Cabinet Ministers Shri Ashish Sood and Shri Kapil Mishra along with senior officials, were present.

An Insightful Visit by 61st/63rd batch of DANICS Probationers to Delhi Archives
During their visit, the probationers explored various facilities of the Department, including the Research Room, Stack Area, Library, Bhagat Singh Archives & Research Centre, and Microfilm Section.
The visit provided the probationers with an opportunity to gain an insight into the rich archival heritage of Delhi and understand the processes involved in the preservation, conservation, management and accessibility of historical records.
