I really wish my reality is different, but I am still unemployed with no prospects lined up and my benefits will run out next month.
I'm moving back to my hometown in New York. More affordable, closer to my fiancée. But it still hurts because finances and career forced this.
does not help that my PC had major parts damaged during the move, including the GPU 🥲 there goes me wanting to prototype some stuff in the meantime
Seattle was a wonderful experience, but unfortunately being unemployed made it impossible to live
I've moved back to New York in the meantime! Still looking for work unfortunately, so if any friends out there has something in game design they think is up my alley, let me know 👋
Gonna be at PAX West for friday and saturday (had to buy passes, no way I wanted to dent my wallet with all 4 days 😭)
Come say hi if you see me or message me if you'd like to meet up!
I do not know what to do. I so badly want to continue being a game designer but it is so frustrating that I can't find anything. Every mid-level game design job feels attainable for me, and yet it's so rare to get into the first stage of the hiring process.

Hey folks, so unfortunately, today is my last day at @GameXplain. It's been nearly 4 years, and I wouldn't take any of it back. I'm proud of the work I've done in that time. Big analyses, thorough reviews, and so, so much more.

God, wanting to go to PAX West but without any exhibitor pass, that would be a hefty hit to my wallet 😭
Very very cool thing: I just got my name changed, and I am now legally Demmy!
No more need to fill out the preferred name in the job applications. It'll just be Demmy from now on 🎉
anyways, this is the big reason I may like to get a remote or Canada game dev job 😅
if you're hiring for a mid-level game designer, check out my portfolio in my bio!!! 🥰
also yes, Anthrocon!!! I'm very much a loud gay furry 🦌 here's my personal furry account for that: @demmysmileface
also really cool to unexpectedly see @matthewmwhite @WhitethornGames there :) love yall
My unemployment income will run out in 3 months. I'm genuinely terrified what will happen if I am jobless at that point.
If there are any mid-level game designer openings you may have, please consider me and take a look at my portfolio
