Just last month, DoorDash couldnβt seem to find the money to pay their deliveristas β until our administration forced them to give back $131M+ in stolen wages and penalties.
This week, theyβve managed to find $17 billion to acquire one of their main competitors.
Corporate consolidation means higher prices, harsher exploitation, and greater economic inequality for New Yorkers.
Weβve stood up to these giants before. That doesnβt stop now.
BREAKING: DoorDash just agreed to buy Instacart for $17 billion. Here's what that means for customers and shoppers. apnews.com/article/doordash-β¦

Notice how it's somehow the government's job to legislate a few Bible verses on human sexuality over our entire country, but it's suddenly "not the government's job" when it comes to the +2,500 Bible verses calling for a generous use of wealth that prioritizes the poor.

"A hazing incident." Seal Team 6 guys killed him after finding out he had reported their theft of government $$ and trafficking of local African women. The authorities pretended to prosecute the two ST6 operators involved but let them out of prison as soon as attention died down.
Please help me honor US Army Green Beret Staff Sergeant Logan Melgar.
On June 4, 2017, the 34-year-old engineer sergeant was killed in Mali during a hazing incident by fellow special operators who broke into his room, restrained him, and applied a chokehold that led to his death by asphyxiation.
From Lubbock, Texas, he served with the 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) after enlisting in 2012, completed Special Forces training, and deploying twice to Afghanistan.
Survived by his wife Michelle and their two sons, Melgar was laid to rest at Arlington National Cemetery, leaving a legacy of service and a case that exposed serious issues of accountability within elite military units.
Never forgotten.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Death ruled homicide by asphyxiation. Two SEALs and two Raiders charged with felony murder for chokehold in planned hazing to film sexual assault. Convicted of manslaughter/hazing; sentences 6mo-18mo after reductions. Theft cover-up motive alleged, denied.
