We are in a scary time
The fact that we still have nuclear weapons tells me people don’t understand them. When I was at Uni, we studied descriptions from survivors of the atomic blasts at Hiroshima and Nagasaki. I thought it would be like learning about any other harrowing history. I was very wrong. It disturbed me in my bones and never left me.
When the atomic bombs detonated in Japan, some of these survivors literally thought it was an alien invasion. This was because the flash was so blinding bright and silent, they had never imagined anything like it before. There was also no noise for those close to the blast. The shockwave hit their ears at the same time as the sound, sending them flying and shattering everything in its wake. This became known as the Pika-Don.
For those further away from the detonation, the sound following the flash was deafening beyond description. It was described as an impossible crack, as if the sky had snapped open. This was trailed by a terrifying deep roar that screamed outwards. It was considered one of the loudest events in human history.
Then there was the thermal heat wave. It was so hot it vaporised people in the open instantly and other peoples clothes melted into their skin. Many were burned beyond belief and just stood there screaming or silent, as the sky turned black from the dust, ash and debris. Wild firestorms spread throughout the city, as people searched in darkness for their families and friends.
But the worst was yet to come. Those that died in the blast were the lucky ones. Over the coming days and weeks, people’s hair fell out. Without explanation those that had incredibly survived, started to confusingly fall ill and perish over time. I don’t want to describe the side effects of the radiation sickness, but it made me cry reading about it. The hopelessness, suffering and courage of the people that succumbed to this, should be mandatory reading for everyone, to understand the true power of nuclear weapons.

In the middle of midterms USA. Nice. Looking forward to it

There is a genocide in Gaza. This artwork tells part of that truth. It is appallingly that governments, local, state or federal, are acting to suppress that truth. This artwork showed in Canberra, it exposed violence, it didn’t cause it. That’s its power. theguardian.com/australia-ne…
He is right. We can help our neighbour and friend and family and others or we can have people who want to be richer

A HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR AND A NAKBA SURVIVOR SHARED THE SAME STAGE.
At the London finale of Macklemore’s tour, 86-year-old Stephen Kapos took the mic. He survived the Nazi occupation of Budapest as a child. Looking at Gaza, his warning was chilling:
"Eighty years later, when I look at the mass destruction in Gaza, I see it is worse than Budapest. Children are still playing among the ruins."
Right after him stood 85-year-old Antoine Raffoul.
"I was seven years old when I became a Nakba child. For eighty years I have been a Nakba survivor. And for the last three years I have been witnessing a genocide of my people."
He spoke about his 7-year-old granddaughter, and his dream to finally hold her hand on a return journey to his homeland.

I wish you all well from Australia we are a bit concerned. 🥰🥰
El-Sayed was Born in the USA and was endorsed by The Boss himself today.
Trump has dusted of his racist Birther movement trying besmirch Abdul and The Boss sued that filthy orange bitch for playing Born in the USA at his shit-rallies.
El-Sayed’s closing ad is riding the #BlueWaveInOneDay 💙💙💙

In the final days of this election, they’re coming at us with everything they’ve got.
We have to leave it all on the field.
Because as every Texan knows: Clear eyes, full hearts, can’t lose.
I call on the Australian government to #RaiseTheRate of all support payments to a living wage. This would be the single most effective way to lift the productivity, quality of life, and well-being of the whole country. #CommitToALivingWage

Democrats are poised to win back the Senate — sending a Methodist pastor, a Presbyterian seminarian, a Muslim doctor, and a Catholic Native American to Washington while reelecting a Jewish Southerner in Georgia.
This is America at its best.

In May 2025, I painted a mural of Donald Trump titled The Host. The mural was an image if Donald Trump, dressed as Uncle Sam with the Israeli flag in his eyes.
The work was a commentary on how US politics and foreign policy have been co-opted by Israel.
Shortly after its completion, police were called to the mural, a campaign was launched to pressure @innerwestcouncil into removing it (which they did), and I began receiving legal letters.
What followed was a lengthy legal process in which the complainant sought orders from the Tribunal requiring me to:
1. I create a new mural that apologised for the original mural, and that this mural had to be in the same place as the old mural;
2. I had to post photos of the mural apology and post it on my Instagram page;
3. I had to write a letter of apology to the President of the NSW Jewish Board of Deputies, and prescribed what he wanted me to write in that letter;
4. I pay $10,000 + revenue made on the sale of posters of the mural in equal parts to several Jewish fundraisers; and
5. I was to attend the Sydney Jewish Museum and undertake specific case studies.
After more than a year, I’ve finally put that legal process behind me.
This is yet another in a growing list of attempts to silence and censor my artwork critical of Israel.
Long story short, it didn’t work. 👊
I owe an enormous debt of gratitude to Jen Robinson, Danielle, Michael and Lauren at Marque Lawyers, and Oshie Fagir.
You are absolute lifesavers ❤️🙏💪
