To ANYONE considering repeating what happened today, know this: the end of Charlie Kirk changes nothing, and his murder was pointless.
Far-right Christian nationalists will continue without him. Influencers dismissing gun violence will continue without him. There will always be propagandists connected to Trump, the GOP, Russia, Israel, the gun lobby, the Council for National Policy, and every other wealthy anti-democracy group.
Murdering far-right mascots does not help the cause. It only gives them more ammo to encourage worse violence against Democrats and the left, and unlike us, they will use the government to support that violence.

Trump is now seeming to question the effectiveness of COVID vaccines — demanding in a social post that drug companies "justify the success" of the vaccines that likely have saved millions of lives.
This is mostly correct, but J.D. Vance doesn't belong to the same criminal network as Trump. He belongs to the techno-fascists and Christian nationalists (Peter Thiel & Project 2025) that are only getting a fraction of what they want from Trump. If he dies, they take over.

These past six months — this entire administration — will be remembered as an era of disappearance.
People are disappearing. Our social safety nets and public health policies are disappearing. Now history is disappearing, too.
Museums are just this week’s target. They’ve already forced news outlets, television networks, private banks, and even some law firms into submission.
In 1984, George Orwell wrote “Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past.”
Nearing the end of Trump’s first term, then-Attorney General Bill Barr said something similar. Asked about how history would look back on him dismissing charges against Russian asset and convicted criminal Gen. Michael Flynn, Barr said:
“History is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who’s writing the history.” In an interview a year prior, Barr said “I don’t care about my legacy. I’ll be dead.”
The reason people like Bill Barr, Donald Trump, and most Republicans in Congress have no shame in how they threaten democracy, break the law, or hurt American citizens is simple: they value wealth and power, not their reputation.
Today, we’re witnessing that desire for power more violently than ever before as they plot to keep it forever.
There is a war on freedom and democracy in this nation, and one of the most important battles is for control of information. Truth and information are weapons in this fight, and we will wield them for as long as it takes to secure the republic.
WE ARE NOT POWERLESS, and we will NOT let them erase history to appease a wannabe dictator or change the past to control the future.
Folks, Barr was right. History is written by the winners.
But history has shown time and time again that the oppressors eventually lose.
