Been busy getting annoyed with @AstonVilla and just noticed @HibernianFC ended up drawing after another Kerr OG . 2 in a row - he does know he plays FOR us now doesn’t he 😉🤦♂️😂

Like all Villa fans I was hoping for a win yesterday.Brentford are an efficient and physical team but no great shakes . However,we have to be realistic . We made great signings but we lost 6 of our first team, 6 of the team that won the EL. It will take time. We must be patient.
Excellent book - from both a History of Hibs’ point of view and Scottish social history generally .
Mike Hennessy, author of Edinburgh's First Hibernian, shares with us his speech at the unveiling of the commemorative plaque at St Patrick's Church, in the Cowgate looking back on what has been a glorious year for @HibernianFC

The "Briggers" built the Forth Bridge. 🏴
Thousands of men and boys who built the iconic Forth Bridge in Scotland between 1882 and 1890.
4,600 men worked on the bridge - often in appalling weather conditions.
The bridge still remains a masterpiece in Scottish construction.

Posting the Johnny Haynes story allows me to tell a funny little anecdote which is included. When the wonderfully-named manager Bedford Jezzard was negotiating a new contract with centre forward Maurice Cook he offered him £18 per week £15 in summer. Cook responded that Haynes was on £20 per week £17 in summer. Jezzard said ‘Johnny is a better player than you and the quick-witted Cook replied ‘Not in summer’.

Yesterdays Player of the Match Award in our @EmiratesFACup tie was sponsored and chosen by Knowle FC legend @DerekAdamson - thank you Derek for your generous sponsorship.
He chose Dylon Bennett, whose immaculate midfield performance and a calm head under pressure were a massive part of our 1-1 draw yesterday.
Congratulations Dylon - looking forward to seeing you in the replay!

Thank you for this . It was a privilege to be part of this historic day from our club. Dylon had a great game and was the unanimous choice of @adamsonjon @C_J_Adamson and myself although every Knowle player played very well.

Ground 265🏟️ Knowle FC
Love the early FA Cup rounds 🏆. Live on BBC
Game ends 1-1 but knowle deserved the win tbf. They won almost every battle but just couldn't finish
Been a while since I visited a ground like this. Very non league and lots of charm
Don’t anyone say Michael Oliver is a good referee . He was 3 yards away from a blatant penalty and missed it . As for VAR, well they are no better .
