I think the thing I find most odd and astonishing about the contemporary world is that there are still Americans who support Donald Trump
I mean, what are they thinking? He has made the cost of living higher, started unnecessary wars, and made the country a laughing stock.

I see @reformparty_uk have said there’s no room for racism in their party. Perhaps that’s because they’re already full, given @itvnews report.

Approval ratings for party leaders. Don't people understand the meaning of the word populist?

A bit of a barnstorming speech from @andyburnham today - I hope it will become reality soon.
And I wonder if he should take Great British Bake-off into public ownership to add to the set?!

Congratulations to Donald Trump for discovering an agreement that has been in place since 1951 and claiming to have just made it himself. Now that's what I call statesmanship.
BREAKING NEWS: I am pleased to announce that the United States of America has entered into an Agreement with The Kingdom of Denmark, and Greenland, that gives the United States permanent control over security, and all other needs, in Greenland, completely addressing ALL of our many U.S. concerns. There will be NO COST to the United States! At my direction, we worked with representatives of Denmark and Greenland to guarantee that the United States will FOREVER have the complete ability to do what is necessary in Greenland in order to secure and defend the security of Greenland, and the United States of America. Additionally, from now on, no U.S. adversary can EVER have a base in Greenland, have a military presence in Greenland, or make sensitive investments in Greenland, without our express written approval. For over 100 years, Presidents have known the strategic importance of Greenland, but NONE of them were able to do anything about it. I am proud to be the President that permanently and conclusively addressed this very important situation. This is an “Infinite Life” Agreement, there is no end! We are very honored and proud of what has just taken place, and everything agreed to today will be cherished by the American People. We will immediately begin the process of developing a large Military presence in the appropriate part of Greenland, of which there are many. We will work with the people of Greenland in its development and construction. This solution is a great one for the United States of America, Denmark, Greenland, and all of our Allies. We look forward to working with the wonderful people of Denmark and Greenland toward a magnificent future with respect to this large, and highly strategic, parcel of land. We will be very protective of it! This is a dream come true for the United States of America, one that is very important, historic, and special. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP
This whole story from @BBCNews is a disgrace. It’s simply PR puff to promote Spencer’s book, generating a confected dispute.
We know they didn’t get on. We know emotions were high at the time.
There is no news, just the BBC being used as a mouthpiece.

Replying to @bbclaurak
I lasted for about 20 seconds of that "interview" (aka book promotion, funded by the licence payers) before switching off. Of course he says he's telling the truth — what did you think he was going to say?
Why is @BBCNews @bbclaurak giving Spencer free publicity for his book?
It’s not news, it’s simply PR puff and a waste of our money.
Everything the BBC does is funded by us. So stop it.

Anything about the 70 amendments tabled by the bill’s advocate in the Lords? Anything about improving palliative care? Anything about the concerns of the royal colleges and professional bodies? Anything about the charities and organisations representing the disabled? NAH. 🙄

Inheritance tax is paid by less than 5% of estates and couples can already transfer up to £1m in property tax-free.
Abolishing it would be regressive, unmeritocratic and a bad use of £9bn.

Like Ukip and like Brexit, Reform is fundamentally a scheme hatched and backed by very rich men who are peeved that they don't run the country. Surely even their own voters have to grasp this eventually.
