Teachers shouldn't be striking over pay. That will be taken care of within the wider public sector Instead, we should be striking over AACs, decreasing SEN support, & poor, indefensible curriculum design that is robbing students of a meaningful and useful education. #edchatie

If you remember nothing else today, remember Ciara's words: "In a world where there’s so much hardship and sadness and hatred being spread... I choose to see the good people and there are so many of them..” (Ciara Mageean)

Ciara Mageean died this morning. A light has gone out in the world. Authentic, talented, decent. Her kindness and wonderful personality was a joy to watch and see. Then came her iconic sporting achievements. When we sat down with Ciara for the GAA Social in July, she received disappointing news the day before. Ciara didn’t want to cancel, so we recorded on the Tuesday. It’s 90 minutes Oisin & myself will always treasure. She was the best of us. To Thomas, I’m so sorry. She was mad about you. To the Mageean family, all her great friends and the Portaferry community- what a stunning human being, to call one of your own. This is so unfair. I’ve never met a person who met Ciara, who didn’t love her. A one off.

They left Croke Park without the trophy, but they left as champions in every sense that matters. League champions. Leinster champions. History-makers. Role models. An extraordinary Carlow football team that I will remain proud of for the rest of my life. #LGFA

Congratulations to Barry Hayes, a West Limerick man and former St Senan's player who was coach-selector with the Carlow team that defeated Longford in today's Allianz Football League Division 4 final.

Replying to @RP_Ireland
I think we need a lot more cross discipline training. Imagine Gardai, teachers, youth workers, SNA'S, health care workers, etc all training together on a regular basis. We're all interconnected in life, why is it different in training

I find that early adopters need to time to move to a space where they come to an awareness that RP is not something you do to others. It is invitational.
