If there's anything I've learned this year it's the importance of noticing, embracing, and welcoming new members to a community. Moving to a new place is really hard, and people who have done this for me have made a huge difference.
Past me took some awesome notes in a simple txt file placed exactly where present me needed to find it. Past me saved the day. Present me is eating a celebratory donut.
