After my daughter started middle school, I noticed that she had stopped eating most of the food I packed for her lunch.
Every afternoon, she returned home with her lunchbox almost untouched.
At first, I thought she was becoming a picky eater.
Why aren't you eating the food I prepare?
Do you know how much food goes to waste?
If you don't like something, tell me instead of throwing it away.

One thing I've learned as a gay man is that sometimes the person who understands your feelings best is someone you've never considered dating. That's exactly what happened with my friend, Daniel, another gay man I had known for almost two years.
