I can empathise with this take but it seems to me a very 1990s reading. Picard wouldn't really fit the progressive mould today. Let's remember that he grew up on a family vineyard that had been in the Picard line for generations, run the old way by a family who saw replicators and other modern conveniences as a threat to something worth keeping. That same man later returned to the estate after leaving Starfleet. The tastes he carried with him - Shakespeare, archaeology, a clear preference for the deep past - don't sit easily with a politics that treats tradition as something to get past. His great leadership happened inside Starfleet's rank structure and chain of command. More importantly, it took place in a post-socialist society that had already solved material scarcity; a post-scarcity future that owed its abundance to earlier capitalist innovation, scientific discovery, and risk-taking. What remained was the work of self-improvement. That combination looks less like progressive politics and more like an older idea of ordered life sustained by inheritance, hierarchy, and the cultivation of character. Even the milder progressive of the 1990s would have trouble claiming Picard now. A contemporary progressive would read his authority as white male privilege exercised inside a hierarchical military that expands under the name of exploration. Today's self-righteous Jacobins would treat the Federation itself as a form of soft imperialism that absorbs other cultures while calling the process enlightenment. The family vineyard would be inherited wealth and settler privilege; Shakespeare and archaeology would be the Western canon and colonial grave-robbing. The defence of Lt. Data as a new sentient life form would be dismissed as individualist rights talk that ignores structural power. Add the absence of identity-based solidarity, the human-centred Prime Directive that still ranks other species, and the quiet Eurocentrism of a French captain quoting dead white men on the bridge, and Picard would not be celebrated. He would be cancelled. This is why both old-school liberals and conservatives could still enjoy 1990s Star Trek. They disagreed about secularism and rationalist visions of society, yet they shared enough ground on duty, hierarchy, inheritance, and the cultivation of character to recognise something of themselves in Picard. The newer Jacobin progressives share almost none of that ground. The distance between the liberalism of that era and the progressivism of this one is, in the end, as wide as a galaxy.
Jean-Luc Picard remains the single most compelling vision of progressive politics I am familiar with — secular, rational, compassionate, egalitarian; a believer in progress & abundance but also duty, hard work, and a constant battle for self-improvement and improving the world.

Don’t know about Britain but here in the states we do have illegal immigration and we send them back. But seeing as you dont why don’t we send our illegals to you.
Replying to @CaptainCarstoiu
No such thing as illegal immigration. If there was, people would be arrested on the beaches. You’re thick.

Is the claim that Jesus Christ is not the head of the church? That would be most odd to most Christians.
Replying to @RazorFist @rggepi
Bro. Come on. "The Head of the Church militant is not a man, but Jesus Christ Himself," - Luther 1519. He also repeatedly and often called the pope the anti-Christ. This is nonsense and you know it is nonsense. Schism is when you are corrected by the church and rather than accepting the correction you start your own thing. Which is EXACTLY what Luther did.

In 1987, Patrick Stewart refused to unpack his suitcase for six straight weeks. My throat still tightens every time I read why. Every Hollywood insider told the 47-year-old British stage actor that Star Trek: The Next Generation would be a disaster. Even his closest friend, Ian McKellen, begged him not to throw away his Shakespearean career on a television gamble. Stewart kept his bags packed by the door, waiting to be fired and sent home to London. That "six-week failure" lasted 36 years. Watching him late at night here in Japan, we saw something Hollywood never expected. In Japan, we call this quiet, unbreakable spirit "Fudoshin," an immovable heart under fire. Most action heroes scream and fire weapons to look strong. Captain Picard never needed to raise his voice. Born into deep poverty in Yorkshire, terrified of a violent home, he left school at age 15 and lost all his hair by 19, convinced his life as an actor was over before it began. Yet one English teacher, Cecil Dormand, handed that frightened 12-year-old boy a copy of Shakespeare, said "Read it out loud," and secretly paid for his first drama course. Never forget what happened decades later. On the morning Queen Elizabeth II knighted him as Sir Patrick Stewart, he invited that same retired schoolteacher to sit beside him at his knighthood luncheon. No suitcase left unpacked. No rage on the bridge. Just a cup of Earl Grey tea, a tug of his uniform, and three quiet words that commanded the galaxy: "Make it so." He passed away at 86 surrounded by live music, prayer, tears, and laughter. And this December, in Avengers: Doomsday, Professor X will grace the screen one final time. A boy who thought he wouldn't last six weeks in Hollywood gave the world an eternity of nobility. From Japan, with tears and our deepest salute: Thank you, Captain. Engage. ✨🖖🇯🇵

This is interesting a snipe at the Lutheran church but no answer on what started this discussion which is does the Roman Catholic Church give communion to those unrest at of being transgenderism and living an open transgenderism lifestyle.
This "communion" you receive remains bread and wine or juice. Only a man ordained as a priest ("in persona Christi") in the Holy Catholic Church has the power to change bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus; all others are just going through the motions.

God commands not you. Are you God now? Are you ordained? When was your ordination? You sound like the charismatic preachers from the south. A wicked tongue devil using the words of others out of context to justify your own ego. God have mercy on you.
“Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead.” And when they heard of the resurrection of the dead, some mocked, while others said, “We will hear you again on this matter.” ” Acts 17:30-32 NKJV ““And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.” Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.” Revelation 22:12-15 NKJV “The labor of the righteous leads to life, The wages of the wicked to sin. He who keeps instruction is in the way of life, But he who refuses correction goes astray. Whoever hides hatred has lying lips, And whoever spreads slander is a fool. In the multitude of words sin is not lacking, But he who restrains his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10:16-19 NKJV

It’s insane to compare yourself to the Lord. Which is exactly what you are doing with this quote.

No one mention the log in his own eye. Calling someone to repent like they were a child or calling them a dog. Certainly that was charitable. Who started the attack by calling someone wicked and terrible?

So then do you have the power to excommunicate members? No certainly not. But you have taken on the authority of a judge are you equipped to take the responsibility? For those who judge will be judged. When you are judged do you want grace and mercy or the strict legalism?
A laymen can judge the Pope and assuredly I can another laymen. The keys are given to the church and are the common property of all, but the public ministry of the word and Sacrament is another matter. The scriptures teach this. “But he who is spiritual judges all things, yet he himself is rightly judged by no one. For “who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him?” But we have the mind of Christ.” I Corinthians 2:15-16 NKJV "Here belong the statements of Christ which testify that the keys have been given to the Church, and not merely to certain persons, Matt. 18:20: Where two or three are gathered together in My name, etc. Lastly, the statement of Peter also confirms this, 1 Pet. 2:9: Ye are a royal priesthood. These words pertain to the true Church, which certainly has the right to elect and ordain ministers since it alone has the priesthood. And this also a most common custom of the Church testifies. For formerly the people elected pastors and bishops. Then came a bishop, either of that church or a neighboring one, who confirmed the one elected by the laying on of hands; and ordination was nothing else than such a ratification." Treatise 68-70 "Oh, my dear friends, if you at one time had realized that the office of judge belonged to you, you would not have entered upon so many and such dangerous bypaths. Your preachers went on false paths and you followed without testing, in false confidence in man. How sorrowful the consequences have been. Therefore know and protect your right. "Prove all things and hold fast that which is good." But this leads me to the second part of our consideration, namely this, that if the sheep are to judge the shepherds, then they should also know the true doctrine and be sure of it." —St. CFW Walther, The Sheep Judge Their Shepherds.

This is lacking in charity. You did not approach your brother in kindness to understand and if needed correct no you beat your brother like a Pharisee you have more in common with those who stoned Stephen then a disciple of Christ.

"I have sympathy for Arianism" muzzle yourself, dog. "It doesn't actually mean I don't the divinity of Christ" When did I say universalists denied all punishment? I said they deny what God threatens to punish, which is true. Notice how you call your slander medicine and my rebuke poison? How utterly double minded and twisted beyond words.

Why are Sam Cap fans racist? Seriously the Sam cap fan base is filled with racists and commies? The very last people that should be associated with a character like Captain America. Could Sam work yeah he could but you got to work on his character and leadership.
"When white people are fans of your black character you know you fucked up somewhere"

Does any Lutheran Pastor use the Protestant Ten Commandments here @RevBWarr @bwolfmueller ?
He also wanted to remove revelations, many of the letters of st paul, and alot of other books The different 10 commandments is a minor change, both have the same message but different wording, however that change is the no graven images which is what causes the video

Cannot explain the same riots that broke out in Milan Italy. The lie is falling apart and people like Morgan are losing what little of their mind is left. Their world view is crumbling. My advice to his friends and family is to send a wellness check.
THIS IS A LIE. FAKE NEWS. France isn’t burning because of immigrants. The protests began with FRENCH STUDENTS furious over crumbling schools, overcrowded classrooms and teacher shortages—and exploded as French citizens joined them over the cost of living, wages, pensions, austerity and failing public services. So Trump sees French citizens protesting their own government and does what he always does: Find immigrants. Blame immigrants. Scare Americans. He isn’t explaining what’s happening in France (because the ignorant piece of shit has no idea). He’s exploiting it to manufacture fear 16 days before an election. Good luck!

FALSE FRAMING: France’s unrest did not begin over immigration. It began with students protesting conditions in French schools and expanded into nationwide demonstrations over the cost of living, wages, pensions and public services. Rioting and looting subsequently broke out. French police have NOT attributed the unrest to immigration.

If we were to have a real conversation and truth was at the heart we would have discussed the difference between sacrament and sacramental.
I'll pray that the Holy Spirit softens your heart to help you become a Christian Let me know if you ever want to learn the Christian faith

Is this Catholic guilt? Tying yourself up in knots and making excuses even to sin. Of course the Catholic Church says that what you say under duress is not a sin that is a human response from a human institution. But that’s not Christ response. We are to trust in God.
