Kenya doesn't have a traditional left/right political orientation which makes it challenging for people trying to draw parallels. Note: The last mainstream leftist politician I can think of is Jaramogi
Wacheni nisome juu ya hii presidential elections ya brazil juu sielewi how mumeamua Sifuna represents Lula or the left 🌝 and one cannot place Sifuna in the left/ right spectrum because he literally doesn't have any economic policy. (Yet?)

Remember Magnifica Humanitas , the encyclical on AI by Leo? Which other church has an actual position on it? What is your church's position on it? Does your church have the capacity to have a position on it?

Kenya is run by mad men. In 2018 logging had been banned in because forests were being depleted at the rate of about 5,000 hectares per annum. This led to an estimated annual reduction in water availability of 62 million cubic metres. But now @KIPPRAKENYA reports that “because the government lifted the ban on logging in Oct 2023 in commercial forests to allow “harvest of mature trees” the @KeForestService (KFS) produced a set of rules that will “guide” the harvesting of 5,000 hectares of commercial forests per annum of the 150,000 hectares of gazetted public forest” So how do you @KeForestService decide to harvest at the same rate that saw Kenya losing 62Million cubic metres of water annually? Have you lost your minds? If losing 5,000 hectares a year was a crisis in 2018, why is cutting 5,000 hectares a year acceptable now? Also who got the tender? I want to see something.

Every time I live through yet another Brazilian election I can’t but marvel at an electoral system that can count 120 million votes in a single evening. Take a bow, Brazil

Are we allowed to call the French protests the "Caucasian Spring" then send African reporters there for months on end to discuss political instability in Europe due to authoritarian leadership?

Reading about how Museveni used the ICC and ' the war against terror ' to protract his fight with the LRA and how the ICC thwarted a ceasefire instead calling for a military campaign because the ceasefire agreement involved immunity.

An apt borrowed description of our current existence under this government is that "we live by chance, die by design"

I heard a woman talk about her half siblings from affairs as “the physical manifestation of my mother’s pain”
I can now talk about this since time has passed. My late friend was an affair kid and I remember how she tried reaching out to her siblings and dad and they all blocked her. When she died from an accident, I informed them of her passing and not even her dad came to the burial.

The government has a public trust deficit of its own doing and it's not limited to health. The government has lied about everything possible so we can't possibly be surprised that conspiracy theories find fertile minds because GOK is actively working against its citizens.
Can someone explain to me what a government has to gain by lying to the world that it has Ebola cases??

Watching Airbnb hosts lose their shit over being told that they can't ask guests to do chores is hilarious because they pretend to be being private homes occasionally rented out forgetting that they're hospitality establishments that need to do hospitality work 💀

Wetangula, as the speaker, has done this multiple times including when the acclamation vote leaned in favour of "no" and he just pretended " yes" won and declared it the result during the 2024 Finance Bill reading. History will remember him accurately.
We have seen people asking who voted for the Bill. The vote was conducted by acclamation, meaning there is no individual voting record showing how each MP voted.
