The annual odds of being struck by lightning in the US are about 1 in 1.22 million. The annual risk of dying from hantavirus is roughly 1 in 34 million (about 10 deaths per year across a 340 million population, per CDC data since 1993). You're ~28 times more likely to be struck by lightning than to die of hantavirus.

🚨‼️Most people do not ruin their lives by waking up one morning and announcing, “Today I am going to follow a lie.” They ruin their lives by following what feels normal. The crowd feels normal. The trend feels normal. The popular preacher feels normal. The compromise feels normal. The slow drift feels normal. But hell has always had better traffic than heaven, and numbers have never once proven God was in something. The devil does not need to drag a man into open rebellion if he can just get him to walk a few steps behind the wrong thing long enough. Follow vanity and you will become vain. Follow a multitude and you will go blind with them. Follow false teachers and you will start calling poison medicine. Follow Christ afar off and you will find out how cold a soul can get while still pretending to be close. That is why the real issue in the Christian life is not what you say in public when everybody is watching. The real issue is what your feet do when your heart is pulled. What do you move toward when nobody makes you. What do you excuse. What do you defend. What do you chase. Because whatever has your trail has your heart, whether you are honest enough to admit it or not. In the end, every follower arrives where his chosen path was always taking him. Nobody drifts into holiness. Nobody stumbles into truth by accident. Nobody wakes up at the judgment and says, “I have no idea how I got here.” Your road is preaching right now. The only question is whether you have enough sense to listen to your own footsteps before it is too late.

🚨‼️Meditating on Scripture is what happens when you stop treating the Bible like a drive-thru and start treating it like bread you actually chew. A lot of Christians read fast just to feel spiritual, then wonder why nothing sticks and nothing changes. Quick glances give you information, but meditation gives you transformation. The Word doesn’t just need to pass through your eyes, it needs to settle into your mind. Meditation isn’t emptying your mind, it’s filling it with truth until truth starts talking back. The world meditates to escape reality; the believer meditates to see reality clearly. That’s why the devil loves a distracted Christian. If he can keep you scrolling, rushing, and mentally scattered, he can keep you shallow, even if you “read” a chapter a day. When Scripture is meditated on, it starts to govern your reactions. It shows up when you’re tempted, when you’re angry, when you’re afraid, and when you’re tired. It becomes the voice that answers the flesh before the flesh answers you. That’s how Jesus handled the devil in the wilderness: not with feelings, but with “It is written.” A Bible that lives in your mind will protect you when pressure hits. So don’t just read to finish a plan. Read to meet with God. Take one verse and think it through until it cuts, comforts, corrects, and strengthens. The goal isn’t to say you read the Bible, the goal is to have the Bible read you. A man who meditates on Scripture won’t be blown around by every wind, because he’s anchored to what God actually said.

🚨‼️Reading Scripture isn’t a religious hobby, it’s how you keep your mind from being remodeled by the world. The Bible is not spiritual decoration, it’s daily bread, and starving Christians always act the same: they’re easily offended, easily deceived, and easily distracted. A man who won’t read his Bible is volunteering to be governed by feelings, trends, and whoever talks the loudest. Most people don’t avoid Scripture because it’s hard, they avoid it because it’s honest. The Book doesn’t flatter the flesh. It exposes motives, corrects excuses, and draws lines where the world wants blur. That’s why a few verses can do more damage to pride than a thousand sermons can. Scripture is a mirror that tells the truth even when you don’t like the reflection. Reading the Bible isn’t just information intake, it’s authority intake. You’re letting God speak first. And the more you hear God’s voice in the text, the less you confuse your own thoughts for revelation. The Spirit doesn’t replace the Book, He works through it. The believer who reads Scripture regularly becomes harder to manipulate because he has a measuring rod for every claim. So don’t read the Bible like a chore, read it like a lifeline. The devil can’t steal your salvation, but he can steal your clarity, your joy, and your strength if you stay Bible-starved. A few minutes in the Book will do more to steady you than hours of news, debate, or doom-scrolling. If you want to grow, start where God speaks.

Let no unwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as is good for building up what is needed, so that it will give grace to those who hear. Do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. - Paul, Ephesians 4:29-30

❖ Israel Is Israel. The Church Is the Church. If you simply read the New Testament the way it was written — without philosophy or filters — the distinction is unmistakable. Israel is mentioned about 73 times in the NT. Not once — not a single time — does it ever mean “the Church.” Every usage is ethnic, national, literal. Jerusalem appears over 140 times. Never once as a synonym for “the Church.” Always the real city. Zion appears 7 times. Every reference ties to Messiah’s Jewish identity or His future rule from Jerusalem. Never the Church. And here is the common-sense dagger: If God meant “the Church” when He said “Israel,” He had 73 chances in the NT to say so — and He never did. Not once does the NT say: “the Church is the new Israel.” “Christians are spiritual Jews.” “Israel is now the Church.” That teaching is found nowhere in the Bible. God spoke plainly: “I will make of you a great nation…” (Gen 12) “I have sworn to David… your throne for all generations.” (Ps 89) “If this fixed order departs… then shall Israel cease from being a nation before Me.” (Jer 31) These aren’t symbols. They’re oaths. Yet history tried to overwrite them. Justin Martyr called the Church “true Israel.” Chrysostom called the synagogue “forsaken.” Luther (late in life) wanted them burned. Calvin systematized their displacement. But the Spirit had already spoken: “Has God rejected His people? By no means.” (Rom 11:1–2) “They did not stumble so as to fall.” (Rom 11:11) “Their acceptance — life from the dead.” (Rom 11:15) “A partial hardening… until the fullness of the Gentiles… and all Israel will be saved.” (Rom 11:25–26) “The gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.” (Rom 11:29) Irrevocable means irrevocable. Israel means Israel. Nation means nation. Even the two “favorite” Supersessionist prooftexts collapse under common sense: Romans 9:6 distinguishes Israel (the nation) from Israel (the believing remnant) — both ethnic, never the Church. Galatians 6:16 blesses “the Israel of God” — the Jewish believers, not Gentiles renamed Israel. Paul never changes the meaning of the word Israel. Not once. The prophets echo the same future: “I will restore your fortunes…” (Zeph 3) “Jerusalem a heavy stone to all nations…” (Zech 12) “They will look on Me whom they pierced.” (Zech 12:10) “His feet shall stand on the Mount of Olives… the Lord King over all the earth.” (Zech 14) A literal people. A literal land. A literal King in Zion. Revelation reveals the spiritual battlefield: “A woman clothed with the sun…” (Rev 12:1) “She gave birth to the male child who will rule the nations…” (Rev 12:5) “The dragon went to make war on her offspring — those who hold the testimony of Jesus.” (Rev 12:17) Two targets: Israel (the woman). The Church (her offspring). Never merged. Never blurred. Supersessionism collapses them into one — which is exactly why the dragon loves it. Because if he can erase Israel’s identity, he can blur the covenants. If he can blur the Church’s identity, he can weaken her vigilance. If he can dissolve “Zion” into metaphor, he can fog the map of prophecy. In the words of Spurgeon: “Interpret Scripture literally unless the sense plainly forbids it.” Supersessionism forbids what Scripture itself affirms. Behind the theologians stood a darker whisper: “Deceiving spirits… teachings of demons.” (1 Tim 4:1) “The deceiver of the whole world.” (Rev 12:9) A strategic lie — divide and conquer. But God’s Word holds the line: Israel remains the nation He chose. The Church remains the Bride He redeemed. Jerusalem remains the city of the Great King. Zion remains His future throne. Israel will meet her Messiah. The Church will return with her King. And the nations will see what Satan tried to hide. ❖ Israel is Israel. The Church is the Church. The dragon hates the distinction — and Scripture protects it.

We need more in the church who understand the times we are living in. We need more in the body of Christ who understand the urgency and proclaim the Gospel even more loudly. Time is running out and my heart breaks for those who refuse to see what is happening in this world.

Based on recent X posts, yes, there's a noticeable uptick in roasts about the proposed 50-year mortgage—folks are mocking the high interest and long term as a "joke" or "game changer" for banks. For a literal roast: Try a classic beef pot roast. Season a 3lb chuck roast with salt/pepper/garlic. Sear in a pot, add onions, carrots, potatoes, beef broth, and herbs. Cook low at 325°F for 3-4 hours until tender. Serves 6. Enjoy!

Great stuff from @WesleyLHuff 👏 Early sources like Clement show the church already viewed apostolic writings as Scripture long before any council met. Nicaea did not "pick" the Bible. The canon wasn't created there, it was recognized. Stop being deceived by TikTok. 📜📖
Lot of silliness floating around about the Bible and Nicaea. Unfortunately @RealAdamAllred repeats a lot of that here. But I think we should all take Adam’s advice when he says that we should “be honest with ourselves and start listening to the truth that is behind it, and if you doubt me, do your own research.” Hopefully this is an encouragement for Adam to take his own advice in this particular topic.
