Anything that burns…
Anything that burns contributes to air pollution. We should support cleaner alternatives.
Replace coal grills and tandoors with electric ones.
Replace thermal power plants with solar panels everywhere.
Replace petrol and diesel with EVs.

#ExpressOpinion | I was blown away by how secure everyone was in their own skin, with their mundus, and their plaits, and their nicely oiled hair, not trying to be anyone else, not telling us to be like them.

Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) 😹
Delhi: On the INDIA bloc rally scheduled for November 1, Ashish Grover, General Secretary of the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT), Delhi, says, “As we mentioned earlier, during Navratri alone, the losses amounted to at least ₹400 crore per day. These losses will now increase. The rally is being held on November 1, and we have been saying for a long time that it should be postponed. The appeal from the entire trading community and the people of Delhi is that whatever you are doing, whether for society or for any other purpose, please allow businesses to operate. Once the festive season is over, you can follow the government’s directions and hold your rally in the designated area. Whatever protest or rally you want to organise, you can do so there.”

This is proof that Modi Govt is giving bulk suspension orders to Instagram.
They are not even bothering to check individual posts, just blindly blocking posts left and right in mass.
Instagram removes the reel posted on LiveLaw's official page about the ECI's affidavit in the #SupremeCourt.
The reel, which was only an explanation of the ECI's version, was removed by Instagram saying, "We received a legal request to restrict this content".
There is no explanation how the reel (instagram.com/reel/De_dnDnOW…) violated any law.

One of Lula’s most important and least well-known achievements is US capacity to sanction it into compliance is limited, because unlike Europe, Brazilians don’t need Visa or Mastercard to make payments.

With Lula’s win, we are now one step closer to preserving Earth’s largest rainforest.
Banning non-BS6 vehicles from entering Delhi for 3 months is a step in the right direction. I don't know if it will make a measurable impact in reducing air pollution, but I'm hoping it can at least help reduce traffic in the city.

The Election Commission has filed its reply in the Supreme Court to the petition on how the three-member Commission functions.
27 pages, approved by all three members. Its argument: every decision was unanimous, and a Commissioner’s note is a “suggestion,” not a decision.
Here’s what it addresses, and what it doesn’t.

India’s growth story is partly a function of the base effect.
In the last thirty years, India’s per capita GDP has increased from $375 to $2,702, i.e 7.2 times.
Then we looked at all the countries who made this leap and what time they covered it in.
India is faster than 19 countries but slower than 15 countries. It's actually at the median.
Needless to say, the growth rates tend to slow down as per capita keeps rising because the base effect starts to work against you. India’s not at that stage yet because we are still pretty low in terms of per capita GDP, but maybe we will reach that stage in 7-10 years time
This is not to take away from India’s growth story, but the base effect can’t be ignored also
