My mom has a disabled kid in her class and is teaching the kids it’s ok to say “disability” because “my daughter is a disability advocate and her community says it’s ok!”

Disabled pals, I need your help!
What positive impact does accessibility have on your life and how does it make you feel?
I’m writing a blog post on this topic and would love to include as many responses as possible. Reply to this tweet to be featured.

Okay so now I’m up to six adult stray cats and three kittens which is costing a lot to feed daily. Would people be willing to buy some cat food if I add to an Amazon wishlist? 😬
Also in talks with management to finally get them TNR too :)

I'll give a couple examples next but could use more...

Patients should not have to pay for parking to see a doctor. What a scam.

FYI from a scientist to patients out there with physicians telling them not to google:
Your physician is likely not much better trained in research than you are.
If you fit the criteria & they refuse to listen & give no explanation, they’re no good.
Get a new one (if you can).

What should I be considering to make a physical lab space more accessible & equitable for scientists with mobility/physical limitations? I am planning lower sections of counter space that can be reached from a chair & low-height storage. What else?

70% of chronic pain sufferers being women. 78% of autoimmune disease sufferers being women. 70% of those with Ehlers Danlos Syndromes being women 🤝 80% of chronic pain studies being conducted on men. Make this make sense.
