Why do Libdems always try to con you? "£12.6 mn in annual govt funding cuts" What do they want you to think that means? A £12.6 mn cut in a year. The £12.6mn is over 3 years. This year the cut is £2.42mn - call it 850 yards of cycle path.

Do I think there are some in the council (elected and unelected) that would deliberately divert resources to push ahead with works because they knew the park decision was dodgy? The aim being to get in a position where there no turning back? Absolutely. Yes.

Do I think the above is true? Yes to how the damage was caused, but the cost seems mindblowing. Maybe those behind the project should say what is happening, they have a couple of mn from us in the project and @bathnes is very obviously not asking what happened to it.

I may have missed this earlier, but it looks like Bath's CEO excluded a Green call to nationalise Wessex Water for fear of upsetting YTL and Skellett. Ouch. Top work by @SomConfidential. Soz for the pic. Only one I have to hand. somersetconfidential.substac…

I note that an MP said today “anti migrant protesters will face the full force of the law’ She did NOT say however…. ‘any person arriving in the UK illegally will face the full force of the law’ No, they will be taken to a free hotel and given more free stuff

That suits Fibdems, but I'm told iffy councillor pursusded to delay by his mate Cllr Moss leader Labour group. Why? Coz if indeps won seat Labour be official opposition and lose perks. Nobody gives a toss about constituents.

Front page news!!! Thank you Echo!!! Our LibDem council and LibDem MP sat on their hands and let our ponds and all associated wildlife die one year ago. One Year On - No change. They hoped we wouldn’t notice. They hoped we wouldn’t care. We noticed and we care… A lot…

So, to be clear, he fills his cabinet with convicted criminals, fraudsters & tax dodgers then stops us from ever finding out about minister’s previous crimes. Then releases the murderers of an innocent police officer. Then buggers off on holiday to avoid scrutiny. Righto.

This is a UK Border Force vessel safely returning migrants to France today. Operation Fortress can be done, and it must be to stop the invasion of our country.

This day 1986, Estate Agent Susannah Lamplugh, aged 25 is never seen again, after a 12.45 appointment, at nearby Shorrolds Road in Fulham. As sad a business now as it was 40 years ago. I hope one day justice will be done.

I was surprised they could arrange to wrap a bus in Bath in a couple of days, it seems the lease on Number 10 North was arranged before the by-election. #Iamsuchafool
Presumably an FOI would have to tell us who took out this lease days before Andy Burnham was elected as an MP and nearly 6 weeks before he became PM?

Our @bathnes is flogging this via auction. They made a suitably bland announcement... but they forgot to tell us something.......

Chucked in with the sale of the dull building is Ralph Allen's Town House, the Grade I-listed architectural masterpiece constructed in 1727. Fancy that, the @bathnes property team not mentioning it. I wonder why.... Funny old world innit.

ANN WIDDECOMBE, born in Somerset to a clergyman father, was famed for her striking beauty as a young woman. Dubbed the “Queen of the Backbenches” in later life, due to her fiery rhetoric on traditional values and Brexit, she was a prolific author who left a lasting mark as a polarizing yet enduring figure in British politics. One of the last of a rare breed of old-school politicians, we are unlikely to see her like again—as today’s crop of limp-wristed, ineffectual, deadbeat mediocrities are extracted from a stale, woke-recycling bin behind a Poundland in Kilburn.

There’sa guy who periodically speaks to the scrutiny committee. Asks some uncomfortable questions, the reports end up in Somerset Confidential. They are trying to get him banned from speaking.
