I'll admit I dismissed this at first as a classic suicide. General William “Neil” McCasland is still missing. His wife left the house around 11:10 a.m. on February 27 and came back at 12:04 p.m. He was gone. His phone, glasses and wearable electronics were reportedly left behind. His wallet, hiking boots, red backpack and a .38 revolver were gone with him. In less than an hour, a retired two star Air Force general basically vanished. What gets me is what happened after as search teams used every tool in the shed. More than 700 homes were reportedly canvassed. His house is right beside the Sandia foothills, so the obvious theory is that he walked into rough country and something happened. After all that searching, there is still no sign of him. A gray Air Force sweatshirt was found about 1.25 miles east of his home, but even that never became the breakthrough. Remember McCasland commanded the Air Force Research Laboratory. He worked in space research and acquisition. He served in the National Reconnaissance Office and later became Director of Special Programs at the Pentagon. Im not saying his disappearance has anything to do with classified programs, UAPs or anything else. But it seems to look like it. There is no public evidence establishing that. I just find it extremely strange that a man with that background disappears from his own home in a 54-minute window and seven months later we still can't find him or an camera footage in a packed neighborhood. Where did McCasland go?
