Sir Jeremy Wright spoke for the Covid vaccine-injured and bereaved in Parliament yesterday: “Those who were doing what their Government asked them to do” deserve proper compensation. He made clear: • This is not anti-vaccine — many injured and bereaved people still support vaccination. • The current scheme is fundamentally unfair: a 60% disability threshold and an all-or-nothing payment. • People injured or bereaved cannot be expected to wait indefinitely while Government says it will provide details “in due course”. Baroness Hallett called reform urgent. The Government must act with the same urgency. • Fair treatment is not just about justice for victims — it is essential to public trust in future vaccination programmes. The message from Sir Jeremy is clear: those who stepped forward when their country asked them to must not now be left behind. #VaccineInjured #VaccineBereaved #VDPS #Support Watch the full debate 👇👇 parliamentlive.tv/event/inde…

Yesterday, I contributed to a Westminster Hall debate on the Government response to the Covid-19 Inquiry Module 4 Report, which relates to vaccines and therapeutics. In my continued engagement on this issue, I felt it right to raise with the Minister that there is a notable difference in the recommendations of the Covid-19 Inquiry’s and the Government’s lack of urgency on the issue. It is important we keep the Government held to account so those damaged by vaccinations, highlighted by the experience of my constituents Kate and Jamie Scott, can get the support they need. At the same time, if we expect people to take vaccines in future emergencies, we must protect the very small number of those harmed by them. Failing to do so risks undermining trust in the very system we may need to rely on again. The Covid vaccine-injured and vaccine-bereaved have waited far too long for justice. Behind every case is a person whose life was changed, a family left grieving, or someone struggling to survive with life-changing injury. Sir Jeremy Wright is right: the Government must listen, act and deliver meaningful support. No more excuses. No more endless delays. Justice now. #VaccineInjured #VaccineBereaved #JusticeForTheInjured #VDPS hansard.parliament.uk/common…

Today, as billions of pounds are discussed in Parliament, vaccine-injured and bereaved families are still waiting for justice. More spent on administering the Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme than supporting victims. No timetable. No certainty. How much longer must families wait? #VIBUK #Budget2026 hansard.parliament.uk/common…

Thank you @BradleyThomasUK for standing up and honouring my Dad. It's 3 years on Saturday he took his own life. We maintain that the vaccine and the VDPS were the indirect causes of his death. We can't stop until there's reform to the system. The vaccine injured deserve this.
