Congrats @hulu ever since you sent me that notice of the rate changes your service has gone downhill quickly. At least I have time to shop for my replacement.
This is not a good sign
Brazil’s Federal Police has canceled Bolsonaro’s passports and are currently searching for him, CNN Brasil reports. cnn.com/2026/10/27/americas/…
Someone really screwed up
Could have been worse. 480’ tv tower came down near Danville, Illinois after guy wire was hit. WAND-TV, Decatur, lost a translator tower that boosted its signal along the state line. It’ll be a little fuzzy there now for Channel 17. @wandtvnews pics.
There is nothing wrong with getting paid for all the work you do in the fantasy football space
I’ve had some pushback on putting a portion of my content behind a paywall, so I wanted to give some context.
All of my rankings are free to view every Sunday, and roughly 80% of my content is free as well during the week. Even in this article, you can read most of it and see my top 12 rankings without paying.
I put hours into researching, writing, and providing insight each week. I’m not doing this to get rich, but charging for some of that work helps me justify the time I spend away from my family.
I charge $8 a month and try to provide the best content and service I can as an independent analyst.
I understand that paying for fantasy content isn’t in everyone’s budget. That’s a big reason I keep so much available for free. If you play in one league, I wouldn’t suggest paying just for my rankings. Between what I share and other free resources, you can find plenty of help. If you’re in multiple leagues, I think there’s a lot of value in what I provide.
There’s also a free trial if you’d like to see whether it’s for you. Either way, I appreciate everyone who reads, shares, or supports my work. Thank you!
Heading into Sunday for 7th straight week one of my Dynasty Teams was given less than a 40% chance to win and for 7th straight week I won by over 25 points. I failed to meet my projection by 18 points but my opponent was over 50 points less than projected. 4th highest for week
That’s the one that was sloppy I’m sure the system gets attacked all the time
BREAKING: A hacker is attempting to breach the US Federal Election Commission's systems and that agency has had to 'temporarily shut down' its web-facing services as a result, according to an email seen by Reuters reut.rs/4imQyUu
This is the kind of abuse of the state budget that needs to be fixed before another dollar of tax increase is imposed. I also ask for someone to review SNAP purchases at grocery stores. The abuse of that system is outrageous too.
The head of HR for DCFS illegally gave out $1.4 million in extra pay to favored employees, including $52k to herself.
It is likely more. Records were only reviewed going back to 2020, and the employee admitted this practice has existed long before she was hired.
Employees got 5% to 25% of their salaries for work that wasn't outside the scope of their regular duties. Some for years. And it wasn't approved by CMS or recorded.
The kicker? The investigation concluded in May, and we're just now hearing about it nearly six months later because of deficiencies in our ethics oversight system.
Enough of this.
We need to fix DCFS. We need to overhaul our ethics oversight. We have plans to do both (and we're the only ones talking about either topic).
I like the way Jeff shows his portfolio of Fantasy Football and I might need to do this later this week
Each week, I’ll post my weekly results. As a fantasy analyst, I should be willing to share how I do, whether my results are good or not so good.
WEEK 7
Fantasy Teams
All Teams: 12-16 (102-94)
Competing Teams: 12-11 (97-64)
Dynasty: 6-7 (41-50)
Competing Dynasty: 6-2 (36-20)
*Rebuilding Dynasty: 0-5 (5-30)
Redraft: 5-9 (57-41)
Other: 1-0 (4-3)
I'm heavily invested in Bills and Jaguars this season, so I expected this week to be brutal. It turned out not so bad.
I had high hopes for a dynasty squad in an industry league after last season's disappointing finish, but injuries and, now, bad luck have led me to throw in the towel for 2026. Makai Lemon's meaningless catch in the final minute last night dropped me to 4-10 in that league, so Parliamentary Inquiry has joined Cutthroats 505 and Route 66ers as rebuilders. My still-competing dynasty squads had another solid week, and all but one are in playoff position at the halfway point.
In redraft, I limped to a 5-9 record, with four of those wins belonging to two teams. I could've had one more had Darius Cooper gotten me 6.7 points (He got 2.7), but I no business being in that matchup; seven of my top nine draft picks were unavailable this week.
Transparency: I moved a 4-10 dynasty team from competing to rebuilding.
Game Picks
Straight up: 7-7 (60-46-1)
Vs spread: 2-6 (28-28)
Best pick: ATL (+3.5) over SF straight up
Worst pick: LV over LAR
Not good, but at least I finally got a Thursday night game right. I went after come upsets this week, and generally picked the wrong ones. I had finally clawed my way into a tie for first in the Footballguys against-the-spread standings, only to blow it this week and fall 3 GB.
My picks were made on Tuesday; three straight-up and two ATS would have changed to correct picks based on injury news from later in the week. Them's the breaks.
Sports Betting
No bets placed. None placed this season.
When a team trades one of their best players and gets a haul in return for a player whose contract is expiring in MLB I never want to hear fans complain again. That’s a huge reason the Brewers are about to take the World Series this season!
Willing to wager that the actual revenue will be well under the estimate given before passing this law.

The average Illinois family pays nearly a quarter million dollars in property taxes in their lifetime.
This is the highest in the Midwest...and the highest in the country, outside of the Northeast.
The cost of living is too expensive in Illinois, and at the top of the list is property taxes. Yet instead of solving the problem, JB Pritzker just points fingers.
We have a plan to lower property taxes in Illinois. In fact, we're the only campaign with a plan. Vote Independent for Governor and let's finally solve a problem the politicians have been talking about for decades.
