To everyone disappointed with their A level results today, I left school with 5 A*s and ended up being paid £14 an hour when I graduated into the NHS. Trust me, your A levels are not that important. Do whatever makes you happy! #alevelresultsday

''I want people to see London the way I see it.'' Known to nearly 300,000 followers as 'Bus Aunty', a London-based nurse Bemi Orojuogun went viral after one of her bus videos hit 4 million views - and the rest is history.⁣

I viscerally hate this trend. Let’s stop dumbing down medicine, let’s stop non-doctors taking up their roles and let’s go back to a system where the medical degree is long enough to equip graduates with the necessary skills to be GOOD doctors, not substandard ones.
If you push these efforts too far - shorten the schooling, shorten residency, get rid of the standardized tests, eliminate this and that… Eventually, there is a point at which people will come to believe your job isn’t that special, and could be done by anyone.

Turns out people actually want the Super League now 😂
"You want the best teams in the world in it!" 🗺️ Following Chelsea's Club World Cup success, is the competition in need of a rethink? 🧩

Agree. Less guideline-based task-focused learning and a major reversion to scientific, academic focused training with later clinical years expecting students to be actually learning by apprenticeship & working (with full supervision) needs to return. Not just being work experience-like lemmings who are told to learn guidelines and that 'you can learn the details later', and have their brain melted by excessive amounts of very low-quality 'soft skills' teaching instead of rigorous study of the sciences underpinning medicine... which seems to be how we 'train' them now, and is both a rip off for their fees and effort and is not producing good outcomes.

@jhansonradio the top 10% that actually contribute a large proportion of tax get unwell. And when they do, who looks after them? Yes, Doctors. I’d argue Doctors contribution therefore (from an economic perspective) are monumental to the economy. Hence, a 29% pay rise is worth it.

Now we know why Rishi Sunak refuses to negotiate with NHS staff. He wants the strikes to go ahead, so he can blame doctors and nurses for his failure. #PMQs

Part of the reason we are in this predicament is that @wesstreeting is advised by a boomer generation of Drs whose financial realities are so far removed from today’s residents they cant comprehend there being such a vast gap. 🧵 1/3
I’m guessing a 28.9% pay rise and a government that is willing to work with resident doctors…

It was a tremendous honour to welcome English Premier League star Cole Palmer and his family to St. Kitts and Nevis today, July 15th. Cole’s journey from Manchester to the global stage is not just an inspiring sports story, it is a powerful reflection of the strength and potential that lies within the Kittitian and Nevisian diaspora. This visit was deeply meaningful, not only because of Cole’s remarkable rise in international football, but because of his strong ancestral ties to St. Kitts. His grandfather, a proud Kittitian, was born and raised right here before migrating to England. During our meeting, I had the opportunity to present Cole with our national team jersey and a special piece of indigenous Caribbean art, symbols of his ancestral heritage and our pride in his achievements. As I told him personally, he is not just visiting, he is home. We look forward to deepening this bond and ensuring his visit reflects what we already know in our hearts: Cole Palmer is a son of the soil!

All I’d say to this is just LOOK at the MPs pay rises over the years and ask why they’re entitled to above inflation pay rises but Doctors aren’t…
‘What’s your message to patients whose operations will be delayed?’ ‘What’s your message to other NHS staff who will be picking up the pieces?’ Health Secretary @wesstreeting believes striking doctors like LBC caller Shivam have questions to answer.

.@JDVance: You changed your name three times because you kept getting caught raping children in the Ohio Valley. And I have witnesses who can and will testify against you on this. I cannot wait to put you in prison for the rest of your life you sick fuck.
The entire American media and left wing industrial complex has decided the most important issue today is that the Trump admin deported an MS-13 gang member (and illegal alien)

The rage from the MAGAts on this post is hilarious. Imagine protecting a billionaire scamming people of $50k for a car that’s not even being produced 8 years later…
