More on the @JalenHurts situation here ...
"Why didn't he have another ultrasound before he boarded the plane? Could they have delayed his departure? When he was on the plane, how was he treated? Was he on an IV drip? Did he have compression socks on?" — @AlbertBreer still has questions about the Jalen Hurts situation.

Sills asked about superficial blood clots. Says they’re not a novel condition and notes the league tracks the data on blood clots and shares it with the NFLPA. Didn’t directly say players are always cleared to play with a superficial blood clot, as each case has extenuating conditions.
As for flying, Sills notes part of the protocol after games is determining whether any players have medical conditions that would require them to stay at the site of the game.
Sills stated off the top he wouldn’t be commenting on Jalen Hurts’ situation specifically, as there are patient-privacy concerns.

10 international games is the most the NFL can play under the current CBA. The NFL is expected to push for more international games when they negotiate the next CBA with the NFLPA, with the goal likely 16 international games each season.

Statement from the @NFLPA:
“The NFLPA is not aware of any NFL investigation into the medical care provided to Jalen Hurts. In fact, the league previously informed the union that it did not plan to review the care he received. Before conclusions are drawn about how this situation was handled, there must be a full investigation into what occurred. Determining the facts is essential to ensuring players receive the highest level of care and protection going forward.”

Perhaps the biggest disconnect on the Jalen Hurts situation—the question of sleep. No doctor I’ve talked to has said he or she would recommend not sleeping to someone with a superficial clot. Some went so far as to say that even suggesting that makes no sense.

Just spoke to Jalen Hurts’ agent, Nicole Lynn, who clarified that while Hurts was up until early Sunday morning getting evaluated at a hospital, he was able to sleep upon rejoining the team and the Eagles set aside a room for him at the stadium. Videos from the stadium show Hurts coming onto the field just before kickoff and he felt rested enough to play.
This is one of the most insane things I’ve heard. Sleep is not a risk factor. If you think sleep is a risk factor for this superficial clot then the guy shouldn’t be playing or flying.
#Eagles QB Jalen Hurts, who is out for the season after several blood clots were revealed in his lungs, has been undergoing tests for days.
Before the London game, Hurts was in the hospital until 4 am and did not sleep because sleep was a risk. He played without having slept.

Patriots RB TreVeyon Henderson suffered a high ankle sprain during Sunday’s win over the Raiders that now is expected to sideline him multiple weeks, per league sources. Henderson will not need surgery, and he is regarded as a quick healer, so the Patriots are hoping his return is sooner rather than later.
