Hearing people talk about the dereliction of duty for the President to not get Congressional approval of the Iran endeavor (a critique I wholeheartedly agree with) who never ever ever ever said a peep about the dereliction of duty in imposing tariff-taxes without Congressional approval is just mind-boggling. That level of hypocrisy and cowardice would, I would think, cause most people to sit it out. The shamelessness of our age …

The NXR is not Christian, nor does their “Christian nationalism” have anything to do with Christ. The self-evident nature of this is reaching critical mass. If you refuse to address bad fruit, then we can only conclude that you think it belongs on your tree. Plausible deniability left the building a long time ago. I’m talking to you @JoelWebbon @Brian_Sauve @Eric_Conn. If I know what you think about James White (fake and gay boomer!) and Allie Beth Stuckey (feminist harpy!) and Samuel Sey (good riddance!), but not about Adolf Hitler, Corey Mahler, or random Twitter anons who want black people to kill their babies, then I do not take you seriously, nor do I find your fruit commensurate with your profession of Christ. Repent.
I'm not an abolitionist anymore because I don't care if brown or nigger people kill their kids It's death penalty stuff, they need to face justice for it, but... my nation is more important I'm not going to spend my energy and time on the people who want me dead for being White

If you see a Tweet like this as something that we should look for from an “aspiring general in the culture war,” you are not thinking like a Christian. Also please note that as far as I can tell, “slanders” to Dale means “disagrees with.” By which measure Dale and the NXR guys slander people all the time. So. By the measure with which you measure. The NXR implosion appears to be reaching critical mass.
I’m learning that a black migrant who slanders Christian Nationalists is the White evangelicals’ ultimate hero.

I vehemently disagree, Ben. He specifically focused on Haywood and brought all the receipts. If he had stopped at “guilty by association” then it would be one thing - but he literally cited people’s own work. It is time for us to be bold in opposing this unrighteousness
The Erick Erickson article that is making the rounds points to a phenomenon that is on the right and is worth opposing. However, what he does is sloppy and does more harm than good. The neo-nazi, antisemitic, white nationalists do exist. But they are mostly all in their parents’ basements watching porn and other feral corners of the internet. To the extent that they make any contribution to the broader public it is in the comments section of someone else’s social media feed. Erickson points at a real subculture but then he goes on to name organizations and men that have nothing to do with that world. For instance, I know Nick Solheim and American Moment. He is not a white-nationalist fantasizer, but rather an insanely productive American patriot. He is none of the things that Erickson alleges in that article. Multiple NSA grads have left the college and gone on to work under him at American Moment, grads that I remain proud of for their hard work to serve our nation. Other men in that list, like Scott Yenor and Timon Cline, are men that we have had on the stage at NSA and that I would be proud to have back. Casually throwing the Nazi slur at men like this only further deafens the hearing of the young men that we are trying to reach and makes them more vulnerable to the actually unhelpful voices that are calling to them, not to DC, but back into their parents’ basements.

In all seriousness, John, I have consistently found that many of the most rabid anti-foreigners/anti-legal immigration people are routinely beaten by them in academic or professional contexts … but I’m sure their animosity is totally unrelated to that
The reason Bo French doesn't like Indian-Americans is that they are better than he is. In every possible fucking way.

The only people who claim to be on the right defending it at this point are (a) people who mean they used to be on the right, and now simply identify as big govt post liberals; OR, (b) those who came out of the gate thinking this sounded “based,” have since been informed how it really works, what it really is, and what it really does, but are in too deep to admit this thing is not what they said it is, and not what any conservative believes in
I’m very used to disagreeing with my audience and taking the calls from them when they disagree. But after describing the plan for stay-at-home moms and my opinion on it, all we got were calls from men and women who appreciate the sentiment and really oppose welfare expansion.

I find that the biggest divide now in X world over whatever the thing of the week is (AI apocalypse, burrito wars, etc.) is not mainly between different ideologies. It's mainly between people whose job is to actually solve a problem and people whose job is to build a personal brand as an influencer. I can now predict where somebody is going to come down on these issues more accurately by just asking myself whether that person is high agency and responsible for outcomes or high visibility whose main deliverable is his personal branding. The former face hard realities. The second are the Coddle Coalition. I'll take a liberal with skin in the game over a rightie whose job is click-attraction.

Vance's sly insinuation that economic freedom is at odds with human flourishing is such an insane red flag
JD Vance is so frustrating. Here he takes gratuitous shots at Milton Friedman as a bad model for Republican economic thinking. With Friedman as the guiding light, Ronald Reagan won 49 states and ushered in a decade of unrivaled prosperity. xitter.gq/HAHazony/status/207203…

Everyone needs to see this and recognize the form of manipulation it is utilizing. @Brian_Sauve and company got caught with genuine, in the flesh, self-professed, “it’s all over our websites” Nazis at their conference. So how do they respond to the documentation? Deflection, victimhood, and seeking to create victim passion amongst their followers. First, no one even HAD to hunt Nazis. Hunting takes work! You have to search and look! You all made it easy. You invited them in, gave them a place to set up, had them at your VIP meet and greet, and let them sell their wares to your attendees! No hunting needed when you do all that for us! But more importantly look at what Sauve does. He draws on given truths that make all of us angry. Muslim rape gangs. Cowardly UK politicians like Keir Starmer (what a vile creature he is!). He taps into our general dislike of, and distrust of, government—all of it, anymore. He brings up how expensive homes are. What there are anti-whites, anti-Christians, etc., in our society. And on and on it goes. And what does ANY of this have to do with Antelope Hills and the absolute MESS Sauve and Conn have made? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. None of the material being promoted by Antelope Hills will do ANYTHING about ANY of the societal ills Sauve lists. Instead, he adds to his “going to hell” condemnation of yesterday another anonymous cavil, “our churches are led by cowards and knaves, heads buried in books.” But this entire rant is nothing but an exercise in misdirection. It is utterly lacking in logical coherence and intellectual content. It’s smoke to attempt to cover a hasty retreat.

Replying to @Eric_Conn
In your recent video you sat there while Brian condemned to hell those who would criticize your work. Here is the transcript: "Um, you know, all the usual suspects are still going to post their clips and what not. And I'm not naming a lot of them because I have absolutely no res I want here I have a message for you. I have absolutely no respect for you as a person. I think you're bad people And you are actively doing harm against the church and you should repent or you will go to hell." But that, of course, is not divisive, nor slanderous, nor accusatory. No, surely not! Man up, Eric. Stop with the anonymous stuff. You and Brian invited known, documented purveyors of Nazi ideology to your conference. You took their money. You let them sell their books. Their white supremacist flyer was passed around the entire conference and you did nothing. You sat there while Brian condemned people to hell, the "usual suspects." And now you are pretending to be all spiritual (how dare you!) in "praying for" older ministers. You are not praying for anyone. This is pure theater, and you know it. So man up, big guy. Put on your best bench press shirt and quit hiding behind anonymous spiritual platitudes. Name names. We have been doing that all along. See, when you do, then you have to actually document the slander, and THAT is when it gets tough, right? So much easier to do the anonymous "we are being picked on!" thing, isn't it? So name names, name the slander, document it like a man.

Bill - I won’t speak for National Review, or for “all conservatives” annoyed at Bulwark. And I happen to agree with you that there are too many who started in righteous opposition who got moved by dollars or social pressure to fold. But, in all fairness, I have never seen a conservative - a National Review type - not one - express disappointment with people for “staying consistent in their opposition to Trump” … The issue people like me are so disillusioned over is why so many of those got up on one side of the horse only to fall off on the other. There simply has to be a way to have not let Trump move one’s self off of their belief system, in either direction. No rational person can listen to Tim Miller and say, “he’s just doing good, conservative opposition to Trump.” It’s just flat out left wing demagoguery. I believe there remains a principled remnant that will see a resurgence of political relevance when this entire embarrassing saga comes to an end. But that remnant must be filled by people of a true north - who didn’t abandon their views on decency, civility, moral clarity, or economic liberty in this decade - OR their views on life, family, foreign policy, or judicial restraint. I know where to go find that sort of Buckleyite rigor. And I know the future belongs to the truth tellers.
I gather some of our conservative friends are unhappy with the Bulwark. Fine. But I'm proud we have continued to stand athwart Trump, yelling Stop, at a time when so many who were at first inclined to do so quit doing so, and then became annoyed at those of us still standing.

We're seeing a concerning snowball effect within the Christian Nationalist movement: 1. Overt racists and anti-Semities identify as CNs. 2. CN influencers stay silent to prevent infighting. 3. CN-sympathetic evangelicals therefore distance themselves from the movement. 1/

Tucker’s self-delusion increases by the day. The grift requires he become more and more absurd and extreme to gain the clicks he craves. The train wreck will come soon enough.
Ok this is just getting to be absurd. @TuckerCarlson just suggested on his most recent podcast episode that Israel is behind the attempted assassination of President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania. He is using Joe Kent as an authority and source on this. Meanwhile, Joe Kent is a discredited leaker and liar. President Trump has repeatedly said Iran tried to assassinate him. Tucker is just making up every lie in the world and is trying to blame it on Israel. It’s reckless, and it’s created a psychosis in the public for the purpose of making people hate Jews. Tucker is such a nefarious liar and conman. It’s just disgusting. He really is dangerous because he knows he’s lying and he doesn’t care. He gets more extreme with each passing week.

The compassion of this woman is well suited for the vocation of motherhood. But this is not who you want determining whether birthright citizenship should be legal. A woman as a mother is a precious gift, but a woman as a civil magistrate is the death of the nation.

Mike, I swear I read it. All the way through. And if all it said was, "one can have a different view of [immigration] or [some contemporary social or political issue] and still be a Christian," I would just shrug it off (because it would be true, and really not need to be said). But he doesn't do that. He pits traditional conservative views (the one David got famous advocating for) AGAINST a Christian view of feeding the hungry and healing the sick (a false dichotomy that David knows darn well is a manipulative ploy). He brushes off that illogical, manipulative device - even commends it - and then goes on to repeat the inane argument from silence that the Bible being written thousands of years ago means it doesn't really actually care about contemporary and practical issues (David and I both criticize the anti-intellectualism of MAGA, but that is the most anti-intellectual asininity I can imagine). David's critique of MAGA's hypocrisy and selectivity is not the focus of my criticism of David's article. He is spot on there, and the MAGA defense of Paxton should be blasted. But so should any attempt to defend Talarico. This is not mere "political" diversification (I fully accept that one can be theologically orthodox and politically progressive, even if I think it is rare). The issue David ignores is that Talarico is not remotely theologically orthodox. If what I am supposed to get out of his article is "being kind is good and Talarico is kind," I concur that kindness is a fruit of the spirit. But David is clearly whitewashing the grotesque, unorthodox universalism and social gospel works righteousness Talarico has repeatedly promoted. And I know that David knows better.
Ok folks... needs to be said again. Read the article. Think about it, in pursuit of comprehension of the argument. Then respond.
