Our Afghan allies risked everything to help the United States. Now Trump plans to send their relatives back to Taliban-ruled Afghanistan. Repaying their sacrifice with betrayal is shameful and will make it much harder for America to secure assistance in future conflicts.
Breaking News: The Trump administration has detained dozens of Afghan immigrants in Louisiana — including relatives of those who helped the U.S. military — and plans to deport them to Afghanistan, according to U.S. officials. nyti.ms/4jPVvrw

I genuinely cannot believe this is a real exchange between a voter and the Vice President of the United States.

Fox: Why are you here this morning?
Trump rally attendee: Well, in the late 70s, I was a little too young to go to South America for the Jonestown Massacre. But this is as close as I'll ever get, so that's why I'm here. There's nothing like seeing a cult right up front.
So Trump just helped Flávio Bolsonaro enter the US without a passport..while he's actively fleeing a Supreme Court arrest warrant for corruption in Brazil.
I thought the mission was to deport criminal foreigners, not harbor them at Mar-a-Lago
MAGA, you are a joke.

“When will the war in Iran end? Whenever I want it to end." So much for the legal fiction that it isn’t a war.
U.S. law and the Constitution prohibit the Executive branch from fighting a war that isn’t declared or authorized by Congress.

I now have two sources close to Susie Wiles who claim that Trump is preparing a vast misinformation campaign for November 4th, built around conspiracy theories alleging widespread election fraud.
The plan? Declare victory regardless of the results, accuse Democratic officials of manufacturing ballots overnight, claim voting machines were secretly manipulated, and demand that Republican candidates refuse to concede.
In this scenario, the goal isn’t to prove fraud. It’s to convince millions of Americans that any election Republicans lose must have been stolen.

Think about how afraid of him the people around him must be that they don’t tell him how unpresidential and absurd this is
Trump: "So I'm studying him. And I made the mistake of saying that I started off by studying his ass. I just wantasink. And then I looked at his feet and they were massive. I made the mistake of studying his anatomy. Maybe I should do that with Ken Paxton, but I'm not sure your body is gonna qualify."

98% of the refugees admitted to the U.S. under Trump have been white South Africans.

Idiocracy in action. It's only the most complicated region of the world from a foreign policy perspective and a place we've flushed trillions down the toilet over the years and the guy a heartbeat away from the Presidency is here with the jokes.

TRUMP on HIGH GAS PRICES: We’re making money like we’ve never made before. They’ll say: President Trump is bragging about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump. I don’t give a damn. We’re making a freaking fortune.

This is a beautiful interview and such an encapsulation of what heroism is. It’s not Rambo antics. It’s a man choosing to do the necessary and unfathomable, and being honest about the enormous cost.
Bend, Oregon man who shot and killed a shooter at his daughters' school speaks out, praises female teacher for fighting the shooter, allowing him to have a clear shot.
Kaylub Giamanco says he is haunted by the sound of children pleading for their lives.
He also praised the teacher for grabbing the gunman's weapon, allowing him to take a shot at the shooter.
"I want to recognize [the teacher]. She gave me the opportunity to make my shot without losing my life..."
"I swung the door open, and I stepped in, and I fired, and they dropped to the ground... I looked down at the gunman, and he was scrambling for his weapon. And I looked at him, and I shot him 2 more times..."

“Fully funded” sounds reassuring from legislators #moleg—until you learn Missouri lawmakers lowered the formula’s goal in 2016. Nearly 7 in 10 students attend @MOEducation districts whose state formula aid now buys less than in 2016. See your district. Check the sources.

Preemptively suing over results of an election that hasn’t happened yet does not suggest confidence that your preferred candidate is going to win.

As expected, the "Melania Trump saved the people of Oleshky" was just another Trump con job.
The Pope did this, then the White House put out a press release claiming it was them.
🚨 WAIT A MINUTE: Melania Trump is now being credited with brokering a ceasefire in Ukraine by the White House—just one week after Pope Leo personally called Vladimir Putin to push for the SAME THING.
On October 16, Reuters reported that Pope Leo had called Putin to request a ceasefire in the Russian-occupied Ukrainian town of Oleshky to allow desperately needed humanitarian aid and food to reach civilians.
The Kremlin confirmed Putin had agreed to cooperate. The Vatican made clear the initiative came from the Pope himself.
Fast-forward to today.
The White House is now announcing that Melania Trump brokered a ceasefire in Oleshky, claiming SHE initiated discussions with Russian and Ukrainian leadership.
The Associated Press is reporting the White House's account without mentioning the Pope's earlier intervention.
So why is the White House taking credit for an initiative Pope Leo was publicly pursuing a week ago?
