FAM… SMH…WOW!! Last night I received arguably the GREATEST human honor of my ENTIRE life!! I was inducted into the PRESTIGIOUS @morehouse “International Hall Of Honor” at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Chapel!!! The “Hall Of Honor” displays 150 oil portraits of individuals whom my alma mater feels have made a difference in the world & served/serves as a “Global Leader”. WHO would’ve EVER imagined that a kid from Macon, Georgia could receive such a prodigious & monumental accolade?! Huge thanks to Morehouse President, Dr. David Thomas, MY DEAN—-Dr. Lawrence E. Carter, Sr. & the @morehousechapel for literally blowing my mind!! To GOD Be The Glory!!!!

For parents struggling what to tell their children today;
• Focus on democratic values and institutions, not individuals. Our system is bigger than any one person
• Emphasize respect, kindness and inclusion. These values matter regardless of who's president
• Encourage critical thinking
• Reassure kids that many people are working to uphold rights and protections for all
• Use this as a chance to teach about elections, government, and civic participation
• Listen to your child's concerns. Validate their feelings while providing age-appropriate context
• Model respectful dialogue, even about views you disagree with. Kids learn from our example
but most of all- hug them and squeeze them even if they don’t like it
