Thank goodness precious @BetsyAmbassador was saved from the vivisection lab. Let’s protect all future Beagle puppies (did you know that a shocking 2,000 are bred to die in the UK each year?) Betsy can’t ask you herself. Luckily, her hero @rickygervais can! He wants pointless, ineffective and cruel animal testing to end – urgently. Why should anyone wait 10 years, as some high-profile campaigns suggest? Dog years are so very short; every day of suffering is one too many. When @Dogs_Today looked into this story, we were appalled. There’s a little-known ancient law that muzzles charities and prevents them from campaigning! Who knew? Look at the science – these ghastly tests don’t advance medical science. Many cures were delayed by testing on animals. Look into Betsy’s eyes – let’s all try to be more like Ricky! Join the specific call to action: order a physical copy of the magazine here bit.ly/BetsyandRicky - but if you can’t afford it, in two weeks it will be freely available to read digitally. At tiny independent @Dogs_Today, we’ve campaigned for a better world for dogs for 35 years – and we’d love many more of you to pull together to make this world safer for our best friends. Together, we can do this. @PeterEgan6 @ChrisGPackham @RosieDuffield1 @TanDhesi @krishgm @KensingtonRoyal @Keir_Starmer @Oprah @wossy @DanielSturridge @mermhart @EamonnHolmes @reallorraine @DailyMirror @Independent @DailyMail @GrumpyOldRick @DefraGovUK @APDAWG1 @JaneFallon @Sia @DeborahMeaden @ukhomeoffice #Dogs #EndAnimalTesting #EDM187 #EvidenceBased #Science

⚠️ AMBER WEATHER ALERT ACTIVATED- EXTREME HEAT WARNING ⚠️
Please read. Please share. With temperatures soaring, we’re urging everyone to look out for those most vulnerable especially people experiencing homelessness, with or without dogs. 💧 Water is vital. Not coffee. Not tea. Just water.
Very sadly, a high percentage of our street homeless community live with addiction which can cause deep sleep, confusion, or disorientation, especially in direct sun. No sun cream. No hats. No shelter. If you see someone vulnerable and asleep in the heat:
➡️ Approach gently and with care.
➡️ Ask if they’re okay.
➡️ If they show signs of heatstroke or collapse please call 999 immediately. 🐶 If you see a dog panting excessively, struggling to move, or lying in the heat — offer water right away. Dogs on the Streets will be out across the weekend, distributing essentials donated through our Amazon Wish List — water, cooling mats, sun wipes, electrolytes, and more. We’ll also be supplying partner teams in Westminster doing outreach. 📍If you spot someone rough sleeping with a dog in Westminster and want to help, please email us their location —we’ll respond directly with support. This heat can be just as deadly as the winter cold.
Let’s come together to protect those who are invisible to so many — but never to us. 🧡 #DogsOnTheStreets #HeatwaveCrisis #AmberAlert #HomelessSupport #StreetDogs #WaterIsLife #NoOneLeftBehind
