this journey has been anything but easy, but every step has shaped the story.
it all started when @traderpow mentioned it in his telegram channel. my first entry was 40m. I held it all the way down to 8m, watching everyone around me give up. but while they thought it was over, I thought it was just the beginning.
I was staring at a 6-figure loss at the bottom, but my thesis remained unchanged. in fact, it only got stronger. people started noticing the potential - this could actually be the disney of ai. momentum built, and $ai16z soared to 600m without a break. I was sitting on mid-6 figures in profit. then, the fud started.
@shawmakesmagic, being shaw, wants everyone to win. but grifters saw this as an easy way to extract: agis + low barriers to entry = rugs. the cycle was brutal - someone would use eliza, shaw would tweet gratitude, and then the rug would happen. people blamed shaw, $ai16z, the whole ecosystem. KOLs piled on, and we tanked to 150m. I won’t lie - I thought, “fuck, I should’ve sold.”
the fud had its reasons, but the vision didn’t waver. how many people are using @ai16zdao resources to actually build ai agents? the answer became obvious. I aped at the bottom, kept dcaing on the way up, and doubled down on the belief that wealth comes from long-term bets on long-term people and ideas.
then shaw did what only shaw could do - he adapted, and he did it, quickly. he stopped talking and started building. the project began healing. people saw the value again, and the tide shifted. more builders came together, accelerating the development of agis, and now here we are.
I’m up 7 figures now, but it’s not about the money. it’s about standing for something. if you don’t, you’ll fold for everything.
