I mostly auditioned for Wildcard Club for fun with no expectation that I was moving forward. What I found sadly not too surprising & did expect is that they didn't even look over my audition. The 1 view was myself confirming that the upload went well
To be fair though, I had an inkling this would happen when they encouraged people posting their videos publicly, purposefully making mine unlisted as the last time there was a big Vtuber related audition event, the company was found to have essentially thrown out some auditions without even viewing them. I was very skeptical.
Some will say "That's just the biz" but realistically, I think an event this big, with an audition window as big as it was, and with such little time to realistically review them all, I wouldn't blame people for thinking something is a tad fishy
That all being said, I'm happy I still auditioned & let myself have that experience & the winners are all absolutely talented and deserve their flowers! Please support them on this new step in their journeys.

I’ve seen a very dramatic uptick in negativity in the community that has been affecting many of those close to me and this will be the only time I will be speaking on this. We are all adults, we all have our own free will and thoughts. Because of this, we are allowed to form our own opinions on events and others within said community. That being said, to needlessly and endlessly harass people for talking to someone you don’t enjoy is childish. To say “oh you need to be careful around x” over and over again because you have personal beef isn’t needed. You know what I do when I encounter someone I don’t like in a mutual space? I ignore them. In the real world you need to learn to be around others you don’t like, it’s a part of life. This tribalism and us vs them mentality has no place in this community. Let people talk to whoever they so choose because at the end of the day, you have no right to dictate or control WHO your friend chooses to be friends with. Thank you.
