We really need an industry-wide norm, like, yesterday that makes submitting or publishing AI-written articles a serious ethical and professional lapse, akin to plagiarism. It is bad for humanity to not have human beings behind the stories journalists tell.
Scoop: Google is testing a new tool, known internally as "Genesis," that can write news articles. It has been demo'd for The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal. w/@nicoagrant

Neither the WGA or SAG-AFTRA is calling for a consumer boycott right now. If you want to support the strike, we're asking folks to:
1) Boost our message on social media
2) Donate to the Entertainment Community Fund, which supports affected workers secure2.convio.net/afa/site/…

Workers nationwide aren’t striking for fun. They’re not striking to be unreasonable or unrealistic. They’re not striking because they’re greedy or lazy.
They’re striking because they played by the rules and still got robbed—and enough is enough.

The boomer generation lied to everyone about being a plumber, garbage man, bus driver, mechanic, electrician, etc. Made those jobs seem like you failed at life if that's what you did. Now all of sudden everyone wants to ask "why aren't the trade skills popular?". Fuck outta here
