Does tweeting increase citations? We conducted an experiment with 110 tweeted papers and 440 controls, waited 3 years for citations to accumulate... and found no significant increase in citations journals.plos.org/plosone/ar…

This reminds me of the time when I was in line for a Blue Scholars (00's Seattle Hip Hop duo) concert with an errant Lighting McQueen sticker on the back of my jacket.
Final Tally (a day late!): 33 species from 23 families. Not bad for a solo #PlantsGiving !!! And I did end up eating one of my study species 🌻 @SMWadgymar ! Thanks to all my botanist twitter friends for sharing their day with me. Love this community! #iamabotanist
Decided to do a full meal prep today despite being solo (I ❤️ leftovers). Fun, but holy cow this was hard by myself 😂 Had zero time to tally plants for #PlantsGiving so I'll post tomorrow 😉 Needed my thanksgiving pals @nora_flora10 & @T_Marie_Wms to help prep & eat this meal 😂

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I'm slowly making my way back home from Brazil but will keep posting the many photos I took there during the past few days. Will start with this series of the Brazilian endemic Halichoeres brasiliensis, from baby to full adult, enjoy the day!

I LOVE 'em but $30 plus shipping is just outside my price range. Still though, these are fabulous!
I realize this is a bit of a brag, but I am chuffed that one of my papers is on the National Parks Services' suggested reading for Traditional Ecological Knowledge nps.gov/subjects/tek/list.ht…

I've set up a Mastodon account but now I need to figure out if it will be a mirror of here or something new.

We are putting in a grant to do ichthyological research up at Cranberry Lake and it has a community outreach component. This, obviously, is resulting me in pricing out a deep fryer #FishFryWithAScientist
