The rush of the water,

The Meshutefet (Joint List) is a combined Arab party that stands practically for the dissolution of Israel as a Jewish, democratic state. It also is a communist party seeking to oppose the West as a whole.
Arabs have served in parliament within several parties, including Labor, and an Arab was #2 on the list of one of the right-wing parties (which failed to cross threshold). An Arab party already served in a ruling coalition. And an Arab party that seeks the betterment of Arab populations is not a problem.
But this is a party that embraces the most extreme Arab nationalism, as well as equally dangerous communism (Hadash branch). It U.S. the embodiment of the Red-Green axis attacking and seeking to destroy Israel and Western civilization as a whole.
While some may even argue parties in Israel’s parliament should to take an oath of office to uphold the core founding documents, structures and institutions of the state, which is fairly common in democracies (even our own), Israel has chosen to allow such parties to sit in parliament unconditionally with full rights of parliament.
But there is NO democracy in the world that has an obligation to place in the executive branch of government itself clearly subversive, hostile parties which seek to destroy the state. No democracy, simply, is obligated to commit suicide.
To accuse Israel of racism for demurring on bringing in an Islamo-fascist-communist movement into the center of power of the state says more about the low quality of your mind, morals and knowledge than it says about Israel.

I see Matt is still biting off more than he can chew. I'll lay out the positions of the Joint List that make it an unacceptable coalition partner to Zionist parties -- and since Matt knows neither Hebrew nor Arabic, I'll translate where relevant to English. 🧵

Not meant in a snarky way: there is something deeply interesting about how much of leftist ideology rests upon lies / factual inaccuracies. Indicates something about the adversariality of our information environment. Truth is a tax on virality.
Tyler Cowen:
'I am not even sure what to say at this point. We need a radical revaluation of this work, and of the associated policy arguments. More generally, this is only a single step in the story of how AI is going to revise economic science, and indeed past research more generally. As I stress in many of my recent talks, there will be significant gains and losses in status, with the losses often outweighing the gains. I see this as one of those cases.'

Extremely weird conflation of Arab parties and Arabs. Not all Joint List members are Arab, and there are Arab members of non-Arab parties, not to mention that Arab citizens can vote for any party they want, not just Arab parties.

Elon is an ally to humanity, to the Jewish principle that we were each made in the image of the divine, with dignity and worth to every human life.
And he’s an ally to western civilization, to those who want it to prosper with principles from the enlightenment (vs third-world and envy-based cultures).
So he’s an ally to the Jews! But it’s also good he’s not Jewish, we need more non-Jews at his level of success 😅

Jewish Insider has picked up the story too, which is starting to trend on X.
The time for accountability is now. When the media colludes with an evil regime like Qatar, it needs to be called out
HUGE: KIND founder and Shark @DanielLubetzky says Semafor's CEO once bragged to him about getting millions from Qatar to "train journalists," for work costing a tiny fraction of that.
He says it felt to him like a bribe.
Exactly what my thread laid out.

In 2000, Israel offers a peace settlement, well within the world community's expected parameters, and the Palestinians responded with a violent Intifada.
In 2005, Israel withdrew every soldier and civilian from Gaza, hoping that this would be the beginning of a peaceful relationship with Gaza that could develop into more general peace, formally or informally. The Palestinians responded by turning Gaza into an armed camp focused on destroying Israel, culminating in 10/7.
Almost everyone I encounter on X: "Why won't Israel make peace with Palestinians?" And almost never, "Why won't the Palestinians make peace with Israel?"

A documentary on a terror attack against Jews is apparently “too political” to publicise
BBC publicity staff were reportedly unwilling to promote a film commissioned by the broadcaster which spotlights the victims of the brutal 7th October 2023 Hamas attacks on Israel.
According to Jewish documentary-maker Lucie Kon, the BBC’s in-house publicists refused to market the documentary on the Nova festival massacre in southern Israel, titled ‘Surviving October 7th: We Will Dance Again’, due to its “subject matter”, which was allegedly considered “too political”. 364 Israeli civilians were killed at the music festival, and 44 were taken hostage.
One cannot but help recall that the BBC went on to broadcast a documentary that was narrated by the son of a senior Hamas official, whose family was paid BBC licence fee money for his participation. Apparently that propaganda film was not deemed too political by our national broadcaster.
Ms Kon reportedly said that the broadcaster allowed its press team to “abandon their duties”, which led her to hire a freelance publicist to promote the film instead. BBC sources appear to have contradicted this narrative, and have stated that the withdrawal was due to in-house publicists instead finding the content of the documentary too disturbing to watch.
The BBC has reportedly agreed to award Ms Kon a £400,000 payout after she claimed she was bullied out of the Corporation due to antisemitism.
It is telling that our national broadcaster appears happy to reward biased journalists and platform individuals who have allegedly expressed support for terror, but is unable to promote a documentary on the worst atrocity against Jews since the Holocaust.

Replying to @AJentleson
Voting for a normie Republican over the epitome of the green-red antisemitic alliance in one particular race isn't "cozying up to the GOP."
And that said, with MTG and Massie out, the GOP has nothing like the Jew-hating congressional caucus the Democrats have.

Kibbutz Be’eri — one of the Israeli communities that suffered the most on October 7th — still voted overwhelmingly for the Left.
They learned absolutely nothing.
Liberalism truly is a disease of the mind.

I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light.
But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance.
Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.

The Arab parties are able to vote? In Israel? An apartheid state? During a genocide?
With 40% of the vote counted in Israel, neither side has a clear and commanding lead, presaging weeks of gridlock, negotiations and uncertainty as parties try to form a governing coalition. Possible kingmakers: the Arab parties. Follow the latest here: nytimes.com/live/2026/10/28/…

Gaza is a more important issue and has been mentioned more than immigration in the UK Parliament. Let that sink in.
This is what I mean when I say the goal of the Palestinian cause is to be a distraction from the Islamic takeover of the West.
UK Parliament has mentioned Gaza more than the NHS or immigration.
In the Commons, Gaza racked up 9,228 mentions in roughly the first 10 months after the 2024 election — more than immigration/asylum (~5,700) or the NHS (~5,300).
A year on, it is still regularly debated: ceasefire, aid, arms, RAF flights, inquiries.
This is a conflict 2,000 miles away with no British troops on the ground, no UK territory at stake, and no direct threat to Britain.
Domestic problems — waiting lists, housing, borders — keep getting ignored.
