The Lepas L6 Pantera is quiet, comfortable and generously equipped, but rivals from Haval, Chery and MG all bring more power. The incoming L6 EV may be its real ace.

GWM's new 3.0T gives the P500 and Tank 500 serious low-down pulling power, yet it is surprisingly hushed on the road. Prices start at R724,900, well short of the R1-million mark.

Audi claims 5.0 l/100 km for the new Q3 Sportback TDI – and after a week of stop-start school runs, the fuel gauge barely moved.
110 kW and 360 Nm won't set records, but the torque makes it effortless every day.

Zero to 60 mph (about 97 km/h) in a claimed 0.81 seconds. Tesla's new Roadster also drove upside down and flew on SpaceX thrusters at last night's Texas reveal. Production? 2028, nine years after the original promise.
Are you blown away yet? We certainly are.
BMW's biggest interface rethink since 2001: Panoramic iDrive in the new iX3 puts essential information across almost the full width of the windscreen base, right in the driver's line of sight.
The revolution isn't screen size. It's placement.

The iCaur 03T IWD has 205 kW, 385 Nm, AWD capability and zero to 100 km/h in 6.5 seconds.
So why does the smaller, slower V23 remain our favourite iCaur?
Sometimes the numbers don't tell the whole story.

BMW'S EV STORY DIDN'T START WITH THE i3
The journey began with 1602-based electric prototypes in 1972, followed by experiments such as the E1, MINI E, and ActiveE.
The i3 finally brought BMW's electric ambitions into series production. Now the Neue Klasse iX3 takes the story into its next chapter.

Chery's first bakkie has a name: Grootman.
South Africans chose the name through a public competition, with Chery positioning it as a respectful, distinctly local expression.
But could the name's very colloquial nature make it too easy to turn into a joke?
The bakkie itself sounds considerably more serious: 350 kW, 800 Nm, 4WD, 3,500 kg towing capacity and up to 100 km of electric-only range.
So, what do you think of the name, Grootman?
