⚠️TYLENOL & AUTISM—RFK Jr and Trump are wrong—the largest & best study in the world in 2.5 MILLION KIDS—found no increased autism risk with acetaminophen (aka paracetamol, Tylenol) use by the mother during pregnancy. A crude unadjusted analysis found only a preliminary 5% risk, but once you adjust for family by matching using sibling controls (who didn’t get autism), the even tiny 5% risk vaporizes to 0% 📉. (Fun fact: I used to do drug safety epidemiology and have been whistleblower against big pharma when their drugs were dangerous—so I know a few things about drug safety data). Thread 🧵.

Once again they are packing 38 people in cages under tents in the Florida swamps. They have one combined toilet/sink/water fountain per cage. It’s over 85° in the shade. Their “crime?” They sought a better life here and worked to pick our crops, roof our homes, cut our grass, clean the dishes. Being undocumented is a civil offense. The employers are not being penalized. The workers are being treated worse than animals in a zoo. This evil is being done wrapped in a flag and our money. It’s unacceptable. It’s inhuman.

This is just one of the 50 pets rescued from the Texas floods and taken to a Cape Cod shelter with more on the way. Bravo to Massachusetts SPCA. @MspcaAngell

Donald Trump’s immigration policy has completely backfired—no one voted to have grandmas being picked up in unmarked vans while gardening or at a Home Depot. If this continues, his poll numbers will only continue to tank.

As the former Emergency Management Director of Florida I’m calling for an immediate investigation by @HomelandGOP @HomelandDems and @TransportDems @TransportGOP If accurate, this is a major deviation from FEMA protocol, may have slowed down response and been a contributing factor

IT GETS WORSE 😳
"Kristi Noem didn’t authorize FEMA’s deployment of Urban Search and Rescue teams until Monday, more than 72 hours after the flooding began, multiple sources told CNN."

CNN: According to four officials inside FEMA.. a new rule that any expected expenditure over $100,000 needed sign off from Noem slowed the federal response.
The sources tell us that FEMA's deployment of urban search and rescue teams, which are typically deployed in anticipation they might be needed instead, was delayed until Monday, three days after the flood.
Now, a source also tells us that a request Texas made for FEMA aerial imagery to aid in the search was also delayed, waiting for Secretary Noem's approval.
Now, additionally, multiple FEMA officials say that they were taken aback by the agency's relatively limited response in the immediate aftermath of the disaster

This is a really important point. Most Medicaid recipients likely have NO idea that they’re about to lose their coverage.

We are witnessing with despair the iniquitous use of hunger as a weapon of war. Burning crops, stealing livestock, and blocking aid are tactics increasingly used by armed militias. As civilians languish in misery, political elites grow fat with impunity. It is time to sanction these abuses and hold accountable those who are responsible for it.

🚨Late on Friday night, Sen. Mike Lee quietly reintroduced - for the FOURTH time in just over 10 days - his public lands sell-off scheme.
The new language would still force the sale of up to 1.2 million acres across 11 Western states.
He is counting on you not noticing.

It’s even worse than we thought—mass deportation chaos is out of control.
Impostors posing as ICE agents playing thugs. It’s not law enforcement, it’s theater for the most hateful and gullible wing of Trump’s base. They get paid per head. They’re not chasing gang members, they’re grabbing garment sewers, day laborers, and street vendors. Easy targets. Not gang members.
Something’s going to break. The backlash will come, and the economy will feel it.
📌 NBC News: 120,000 out of 185,000 immigrants arrested since October committed no serious crimes.

Damn‼️ Federal agents blew a door off for this?
A dozen federal agents blasted their way into an LA home where Jenny Ramirez lives with her boyfriend and two kids.
She heard the blast while checking on her 6-year-old, with her 1-year-old in her arms.
Ramirez says everyone in the home is a U.S. citizen.
Agents told her they were looking for her boyfriend. Later that morning, he called to say Border Patrol told him to turn himself in, possibly over a crash a week earlier, where he rear-ended a truck carrying federal agents.
