More fun today with the 12 Days of Computer Science! We used abstraction all together to solve riddles, coded and debugged BlueBots to solve equations and did some block coding @hourofcode! All tied in with some number sense review! @DominionTrailES #CSforLCPS

To apply our map skills that we learned this week, we coded friends and bee bots with compass rose directions to get from one place to another! Students loved Move it @codeorg & using the Bee Bot mats @MrIvoryTRT made us! @DominionTrailES

Put Ss in random groups and gave them 10 mins to create positivity/anti-bullying posters! Everyone got right to work, no complaints, great ideas, team work and collaboration! #teachergoals @DominionTrailES

Many S’s first time using BeeBots. I gave them minimal directions but taught them what debug means. I love hearing the collaboration and problem solving going on to review place value skills!

On Friday’s, we work on our math fact fluency in centers. Broke out the @PlayOsmo for the first time this year. They ❤️them and worked well together when they had to share! @DominionTrailES

We’ve been learning about Rosa, Abe and Cesar as good citizens who improved their community. We also are learning about adjectives. Look at the adjectives 2nd graders used to describe Rosa Parks today! 😍 @DominionTrailES

Got to see #Nasa’s launch at @NASA_Wallops Island today before leaving Chincoteague! So cool to watch supplies make their way up for our Scientist in space. Made me think of the progress we’ve made since the moon landing… where will we be in another 50 years?
