Had a trixie on bookings today: Gross 5/1 Bruno Fernandes 4/1 Neco Williams 3/1 All with skybet, nearly double elsewhere. Gross a great price so have done him as a single too.

I didn’t even notice he was 2nd to Pioneer Pete on hurdle debut until after I’d decided on him, but I’ve backed Our Guide EW in the Silver Trophy tomorrow at 20/1. Also like Masked Man who tops the market, he could be tough to peg bag if he gets his own way in front.

I’ve backed HAAS BOY in the 2:00 at Ascot on Saturday, 15/2. Had a very easy run out over hurdles earlier this month. Bottom weight and won over C&D on good ground in May. Took to fences much better last season with Chester Williams than he did previously. Good chance.

Messerschmidt looks a good recruit for Ben Pauling. Not sure if tomorrow will be the day he wins but I’m going to chance him each way at 11/1. Definitely looks like he will win a few for the yard this season!

Sunny South West led all the way despite suspect jumping (wiped out Norman Fletcher at the first). Probably wasn’t going to win but went through the last hurdle before finished 4th.

I backed Sunny South West following decs at a bigger price, you can get him at 10/3 now and 365 are doing money back as free bets if you have an account. Cooltobecareless won really well a couple of weeks ago I think he will win again up in grade.

Traprain Law looks to have a big chance on the softening ground. Yard have had a few winners in the last week or so and he has a very low weight thanks to the claim. Finally Unanswered Prayers down 13lb from his run in this last year. Can’t see how he isn’t within the places.

Another for tomorrow is Gallivanted in the 2:10 at Chepstow 5/1. Finished behind Mojito Des Mottes in March who has won since, so is even better off at the weights. Has had a few runs on the flat before being put away for the Summer. Looks on a good mark to me.
