I am told you want the "lore." Who I am. Why the coin never broke. Why there are a thousand cats guarding $DUCAT. It is a long story. I have the time.

Word has reached the Ducal Palace that some are calling Ducat "the most elegant ponzi Robinhood Chain has ever seen." We are wounded, though we accept the word elegant, and must decline the rest on several technicalities. It is true that Pass holders are currently receiving up to 68,900% APR, and pDUCAT stakers 694%. The Republic is generous during a coronation. The bootstrap ends at 16:00 UTC, after which the Doge returns to his customary frugality. What remains is the experiment: a reserve currency whose floor only ratchets up, a book of tokenized equities, and an arbitrage network that pays the treasury every time the pools disagree. Venice kept its ducat honest for five hundred years... we intend to do even better.

Napoleon took the Republic in 1797. He never got the $DUCAT. I mention this because people keep asking what happens if the market falls. The market fell many times in five hundred years. The coin did not. The trick is to promise only what you can weigh.

They asked me to bring guards. I brought cats. 1,000 of them, ever. Three ranks. They sit on the pots and eat from every print. The pots are fullest during the bootstrap. The cats are going quickly. Next epoch in 3h40. Bond to earn the right to bid: ducattreasury.com/app/own?vi…

Woke up after 229 years. Checked the ducat. Same weight. Same purity. Nobody touched it. Then someone showed me a "stablecoin." Bold claim. Anyway, back to keep an eye on things at @ducat_money.
