Over 40 young people at our Supported Study session this morning! In a small school like ours this is a fabulous turn out! I’m so proud of the dedication our students have shown. What a start to the day! 😃💪
Supported Study is on at 8am tomorrow for Higher and N5. Mrs Holmes will lead the session. We will focus on the 8/10 marker question of the Scottish Text section. The early bird catches… the A grades. See you bright and early Old Sports! 😀

A big thank you to the debating club @clydebankhigh for organising the Ryan Cup debate on Friday. Very proud of our team Ruby and Alisdair who won their debate and to Ruby who won best speaker and Anastasia who won best contribution. Congrats to the @SPTA_HS winning team!!
N5 and Higher English Supported Study starts tomorrow. It will be on from 8-8.50am. Session one will be with Miss Dover and will focus on RUAE skills. She’s just messaged me saying she’s in Asda buying breakfast pastries so you don’t want to miss it! 😂🥐🥮 #pastriesandpractise
Battle of the Bards! Congratulations to the winners of our S1 “Address the [insert foodstuff here]…” competition! Move over Rabbie! Winners received a beautiful anthology of Burns’ poems donated by the Dumbarton Burns’ Club and some favourite Scottish snacks! @Dumbarton_Acad😀

One of our S1 learners tweeting a story for WBD using only 280 characters! Not an easy task! Brilliant effort! ☺️👏 #WorldBookDay2021
Happy WBD worms! 📖🪱 I read because: I don’t have enough money to travel the world, I don’t have a time machine to let me hop back to the past or to give me a glimpse into the future, I don’t know what it’s like to live a life that’s different from my own... But I do if I read!
