Kenya's proposed crackdown on alcohol consumption.
A new Bill tabled in Parliament proposes raising the legal drinking age to 21, banning alcohol sales within 300 metres of learning institutions, prohibiting online alcohol advertising and restricting transportation of alcoholic drinks between 6am and 6pm.
Other proposals include a KES 2-per-litre levy on manufacturers and importers, and restrictions on alcohol sales in public places.
