My Web3 Onboarding Capstone Walkthrough Just finished the free Web3 Onboarding pathway at @RavenNetworkHQ. It wasn’t “watch a few videos and call it a day.” It was structured modules, quizzes, practical tasks, and actual hands-on practice. Here’s my honest walkthrough of what the journey looked like and what stuck. Raven Academy’s free onboarding path is designed as the entry point into their contributor ecosystem. You learn the basics, prove you did the work, and build a public Nest/profile with reputation tracking. From there you can move into the paid Creator or Builder pathways if you want deeper skills and verified credentials. Early modules focused on the non-negotiables: How wallets actually work (custodial vs non-custodial) Seed phrases, private keys, and why “not your keys, not your crypto” is real Basic security habits so you don’t lose everything to a random DM or fake site I treated these seriously. One careless click in Web3 can wipe you out. Then we moved into multi-chain basics. Not just “what is blockchain,” but looking at different ecosystems (TON, Ethereum, Solana, Base, etc.) and why they exist. The goal wasn’t to become an expert overnight. It was to stop treating every chain as the same thing and understand the trade-offs. Practical side (the part that mattered most to me): Setting up a proper wallet Getting testnet tokens Sending test transactions Doing simple DEX swaps on testnets These modules force you to actually click the buttons instead of just reading about them. That changes how you understand gas, approvals, and explorers. Security kept coming back. Simple rules that still catch people: • Never share your seed phrase • Verify links before connecting a wallet • Don’t sign random transactions • Revoke old approvals •Ignore “support” DMs offering free airdrops I already knew some of this from past experience, but seeing it framed clearly inside the course still helped. Reputation and credentials are a big part of Raven’s model. They talk about streaks, XP, Soulbound tokens, and building a public Nest that shows what you’ve actually done. The idea is that learning turns into visible contribution instead of just another certificate sitting in a folder. What I liked: It felt structured. You know what the next module is. The free path is genuinely free. There’s a clear path from “I just joined” to “I have a profile and some proof of work.” What still requires effort: Consistency. The modules won’t make me a builder or researcher by themselves. I'll still have to publish, practice, and show up. My personal takeaway after going through the onboarding: Web3 is still noisy. Most people get overwhelmed by scattered YouTube videos, Telegram groups, and hype. Having a clear sequence (wallets, security, chains and practical tasks) makes the early stage less chaotic. I’m going to keep using what I learned to write clearer threads and researching projects properly. If you’re starting out and want a structured free path instead of random content, the Raven Web3 Onboarding is worth checking. I submitted this thread as my capstone walkthrough. Still learning. Still building. Still curious. $Shalom 🕊

Some people are just beyond trying to help. Nigerians finally have automated p2p systems but some of them will still be this crazy over issues that can be solved with a little bit of patience and complaints.
Welcome to Nigeria, where the moment customer support becomes accessible, threats begin. This person sent an email with no details whatsoever concerning the alleged failed transaction. No transaction ID, no amount, no time, no wallet address—nothing. Yet somehow, we're supposed to track the transaction by the Spirit. And here's the interesting part: we haven't recorded any failed transaction throughout today. We simply asked him to provide the details of the transaction so the support team could investigate and see exactly what happened. Instead of sending the requested details, this is what we received: threats to bring down the business. Mehn... this is exactly the kind of behaviour that frustrates people who are genuinely trying to build products for our ecosystem. If you have a failed transaction, send the details and allow the support team to investigate it. That's why the support channel exists. Would you send an email like this to major international wallets or financial platforms and expect them to magically locate a transaction without the necessary information? But somehow, because the builders are Nigerians and accessible, familiarity quickly becomes disrespect. We need to do better. Accessibility should never be mistaken for weakness. Send your transaction details. Let the team investigate. Threats don't provide the information required to trace a transaction.

The biggest disruption in banking isn’t happening in Wall Street boardrooms. It’s happening on the streets of Lagos, Buenos Aires, and Southeast Asia. While critics argue over charts, millions of people are quietly ditching local banks to run their entire daily lives on stablecoins. Here is the invisible revolution: 👇 For a long time, using crypto for daily transactions was a joke. No one wants to buy a loaf of bread using Bitcoin and wait 20 minutes for confirmation while paying a ₦5,000 gas fee. But the game changed entirely when digital dollars (stablecoins like USDT and USDC) migrated to ultra-fast, low-cost layer-1 and layer-2 blockchains. Looking at the data from the past year. Global stablecoin transaction volume has crossed into the trillions. In emerging economies hard hit by inflation, stablecoins aren't speculative assets—they are the default checking account. Regular merchants are bypassing local currency volatility altogether by accepting digital dollars directly on their smartphones. The real killer feature? Cross-border micropayments. Traditional remittance apps take a massive cut and take days to process. Today, a freelancer can receive payment from the US or Europe via a stablecoin transfer, and it arrives in seconds for a fraction of a cent. No banking hours. No arbitrary exchange rate markups. Just pure peer-to-peer settlement. Mainstream fintech has noticed and is rushing to integrate. • April 2024: Stripe revived crypto payments, letting merchants accept stablecoins that settle instantly. • Later in 2024: PayPal expanded its stablecoin (PYUSD) to enable free international transfers via Xoom. • By 2025/2026: Major fintech apps globally have embedded these rails directly into their standard user interfaces. The Macro Outlook: The ultimate irony of crypto adoption? It didn't happen because everyone became a tech geek. It happened because traditional banking systems became too slow and expensive for a hyper-connected, global gig economy. The future of money isn't plastic cards or paper bills. It's digital cash moving instantly across borderless protocols. $SHALOM 🕊️

Silicon Valley is quietly panicking. AI is eating up data centers, computer chips, and electricity faster than we can build them. But a massive underground shift called DePIN is beating Big Tech at their own game—by paying everyday people to crowd-source global infrastructure. What is DePIN? Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks. Instead of Amazon or Google spending billions building massive server farms, DePIN protocols pay you in crypto to lease out your unused hard drive space, internet bandwidth, or graphics cards. It turns everyday hardware into a hyper-efficient, global utility grid. Take a look at mapping. Google spends billions driving camera cars around the globe. In November 2022, a Web3 project called Hivemapper launched its native token. Instead of corporate cars, they sell 4K dashcams to regular drivers across 66+ countries. Regular commuters earn tokens just for driving to work. The result? They've already mapped over 30% of the world's roads faster than Google ever could. It’s happening in telecom too because building cell towers is brutally expensive. Look at Helium Mobile in the United States. They disrupted traditional carriers by letting individuals set up small 5G hotspots in their homes and businesses. By rewarding users with tokens, they built a massive network footprint, scaling to thousands of subscribers who initially paid a tiny fraction of normal phone bills. The scale of this movement is staggering. Big Tech wants you to think the future of infrastructure belongs entirely to centralized mega-corporations. The next trillion-dollar tech giant won’t own a single data center. It will be owned by the people running the nodes. DePIN is changing the economy from "paying for a service" to "getting paid to provide it." $SHALOM 🕊️

Brands are quietly adopting Web3 right now. But they are completely erasing the words "crypto," "NFT," and "blockchain" from their marketing. Corporations are moving loyalty programs onto public and private blockchains, transforming dead reward points into actual digital assets. The twist? They just call them "digital collectibles," "passes," or "stamp cards." Brands love this because It slashes infrastructure costs and allows cross-brand partnerships with zero friction. The mass adoption of Web3 won't happen because people suddenly love cryptography. It will happen because their everyday apps get 10x more useful, and they won't even know a blockchain is powering it.

Everyone says Web3 cuts out the middleman. So why are millions of people still buying crypto from local vendors and P2P traders? The truth about "Crypto Vendors" and the hidden centralisation inside Web3: 👇 1. The Fiat Gateway Problem Blockchains are completely digital ecosystems. They only understand tokens, smart contracts, and cryptographic keys. They do not understand cash, bank transfers, or paper money. To turn your physical money into crypto, you need an entry point. That entry point is a vendor. 2. Traditional Middlemen in Crypto Clothing When you buy crypto from a P2P vendor, you are relying on: • Human trust (Will they send the crypto after I pay?) • Centralized platforms (Binance/Paxful holding the funds in escrow) • Traditional banks (To send the local fiat transfer) This isn’t decentralized. It’s just a new version of a currency exchange booth. 3. The Software Middleman When you use Giant Wallet, XendFinance or Bitget wallet to withdraw USDT directly to your bank account, you aren’t doing a pure peer-to-peer trade. You are interacting with a software middleman. The app uses automated smart contracts and centralized payment APIs to coordinate the trade for you in the background. 4. The Banking Bridge A pure blockchain cannot talk to a traditional bank. To get Naira or Shillings into your bank account, these apps partner with traditional payment processors and liquidity providers. They handle the compliance, account name verification, and banking rails. That bridge is a corporate middleman. 5. Code vs. Humans So, what actually changed? Web3 didn't eliminate the middleman; it upgraded them. • Old Middleman (P2P Vendor): Slow, high risk of scams, manual bank transfers, human error. • New Middleman (Automated App): Instant processing, automated escrow contracts, fixed fees (like Giant's 1%), no human interaction. The Verdict: You will almost always need a middleman whenever crypto touches real-world fiat currency. The goal of Web3 isn't just to have "zero middlemen." It is to remove untrusted, manual human middlemen and replace them with auditable, automated software infrastructure. Automated gateways are completely shifting how we off-ramp crypto in Africa. $SHALOM 🕊️

You are one cloud hack away from losing everything. If you stored your Web3 wallet's 12-word seed phrase on your phone or computer, your crypto is a ticking time bomb. Here are 3 silent killers waiting to drain your wallet—and how to fix it right now: 👇 1. The "Saved Draft" Trap Think your email drafts or Apple Notes are safe because you have a strong password? Think again. If a hacker breaches your iCloud or Google account, the first thing they script their bots to search for is a 12 or 24-word string. If you use a pirated operating systems for browsing, you are most likely already being fed malwares each time you connect to the internet. Don't believe me? Download AVG Antivirus and get it installed on your computer, get connected to the internet and see what I'm talking about. It gets better when you sign up for its premium plan. 2. The Screenshot Exposure: Did you take a quick screenshot of your seed phrase during setup, intending to write it down "later"? Your phone automatically syncs that image to the cloud. If a malicious app gets photo permissions, or your cloud backup is compromised, your keys are gone. 3. Clipboard Hijacking Some malware specifically sits in the background of your laptop or desktop waiting for you to copy text that looks like a seed phrase or wallet address. The moment you copy-paste it into a file, it's intercepted and sent to a malicious server. How to fix this TONIGHT: 1️⃣ Get a piece of paper (or a metal backup card). 2️⃣ Write down your seed phrase physically with a pen. 3️⃣ Delete EVERY digital trace: clear trash folders, cloud backups, and photo recycles. 4️⃣ Moving forward, treat your seed phrase like physical cash. Your seed phrase is the master key to your digital vault. There is no "Forgot Password" button in Web3. If you learned something from this, drop a 🔒 below to secure the algorithm. $SHALOM 🕊️

WEB3 IS NOT JUST ABOUT BEING EARLY. IT'S ABOUT BEING PREPARED. In Web3, everyone wants to find the next big opportunity. People chase new tokens, explore emerging ecosystems, join communities, and look for projects that could shape the future of blockchain technology. But there's something important we sometimes forget: Being early means very little if you don't understand what you're getting into. The real advantage is not simply being among the first people to discover a project. It's taking the time to understand the technology, recognize the problems it solves, and learn how its ecosystem works. Think about it. 🔹 Every blockchain solves a problem. Understanding its architecture, transaction mechanisms, and limitations helps you see beyond the hype. 🔹 Every ecosystem needs contributors. Developers build applications, researchers investigate ideas, designers improve experiences, and writers help people understand complex concepts. 🔹 Every opportunity comes with risks. Learning about wallet security, smart contract vulnerabilities, token economics, and decentralization helps you make more informed decisions. 🔹 Every community needs people who create value. A strong Web3 ecosystem cannot survive on speculation alone. It needs people who educate, build, collaborate, and solve real problems. This is why continuous learning matters. You don't need to understand everything today. You don't need to be a developer to contribute. And you don't need to follow every trend to remain relevant. Start with one concept. Understand it. Share what you learn. Ask questions. Explore different ecosystems. Build your knowledge one step at a time. Because Web3 is evolving, and the people who keep learning will be better equipped to understand its opportunities and challenges. The goal is not just to participate in the next big narrative. The goal is to understand the technology well enough to contribute to what comes next. The future of Web3 will not be built by spectators alone. It will be shaped by people willing to learn, create, experiment, and build. Keep learning. Keep exploring. Keep building. The next chapter of Web3 is still being written. Make sure you're learning how to read it. M_KHΛLEED™ You don't need to explain your absence. Just return with value, and let the work speak.
