Ducks know something about prayer - bowing their heads, plunging into the mystery that feeds them and holds them buoyant. Receiving bread from the hands of strangers. Traveling in pairs.

Another observation from this election season: my anger, often expressed as annoyance or frustration, does more to protect me from the grief I feel for the world than it does to heal the world. Righteous anger is my self important fiction

Simple prayers that God might hear the needy and that I might love my neighbor more have done much for my soul this election season

Any time I’ve tried or offered to do any of these things while staying at a host’s home, they either adamantly refuse or do it with me - and I do the same for my guests. That’s basic hospitality
its just bonkers the new policy @airbnb is trying to put in place. Putting the dishes in the dishwasher, taking out the trash, pulling the sheets off the bed....they are just standard things any normal person would do when staying at a house. Why wouldn't a host be allowed to say that?

Christians who blaze into conversations hurling slurs should heed the words of Christ in Matt 5:22

Guys. Don’t worry. I’m dispatching angels from Africa for Talarico as we speak

Republicans want you to renounce Christ, hold to the faith!
If you call yourself a Christian and find yourself voting for democrats, you should stop calling yourself a Christian.

There’s a new backlash forming: parents mad at Republicans for exposing their kids to the concept of transitioning through constant advertising

crazy how much of the gop strategy for this election is just "bearing false witness" to as severe a degree as possible

The strange evangelical obsession with eyewitness accounts and need to produce forensic evidence for every jot and tittle generates atheistic arguments that make no sense to me
If you’re a Christian, the moment you realize neither the gospels nor Paul’s writings are actual eye witness accounts, Christianity should come crashing down for you

weren't people championing Grok as the bastion of the Christian faith like a week ago or something like that

There is no afterlife, no cosmic justice, and no inherent purpose. Consciousness ends at death in an indifferent universe that will outlast every human concern.

Yes. Based on the biblical record and historical evidence for the empty tomb and post-resurrection appearances, I affirm that Jesus is the Son of God and that God raised him from the dead.

It's not so much that I'm chronically online it's moreso that I'm able to churn out thoughts with such incredible speed that my employers have called me a "human AI" for the last 4 years at least.

I think I could accept having a leg amputated but if something ever got in the way of my 85wpm typing speed I'd probably have to revisit my theodicy.

God does not have a sex and therefore cannot have a binary gender under biological essentialism
Mocking God as “nonbinary” to be provocative isn’t cute, dude. It’s gross. These commie freaks wear your morality like a skin suit and mock your faith like it’s nothing but their political cudgel. Really slimy behavior from Talarico.

I do wonder why it is so much easier for people to hold on to resentment than it is for them to develop kindness

It is the kindness of God that leads humans to repentance.

Generally if I tweet scripture it’s meant to be a personal reminder and not to make any specific political argument unless explicitly stated.

For precision’s sake - the death penalty is simply not the *only* godly response to wrongdoing of that magnitude. Christians ought have a redemptive imagination before they have a vindictive one, especially when deterrence is possible without bloodshed
Let’s not forget that God’s response to one of the most prominent murderers of Christians was to make him an apostle, not capital punishment.
