Hekiren — Guardian of the Sacred Tree 守るべきものを失わないため、静かに見守り続けてきた九尾は初めて刃の前に立つ。 碧の世界とValdirの地下深くに存在する二本の御神木は、もともと一つの木だった。 九尾は長い年月。 碧の世界で人々の悲しみや迷い、願い、記憶を感じ取り続けてきた。 積み重なったそれらの心情は、やがて九尾自身の一部となっていった。 Valdir側の御神木は、人々の記憶や心情を糧に生きていた。 だが、その糧が少なくなったことで生き延びるため同じ根を持つ碧の世界の御神木へとつながった。 そのつながりによって、膨大な心情を蓄えてきた九尾は“Rift”へと引き寄せられる。 果ての見えない螺旋状の異空間…辿り着いたのはValdirの地下深くに眠る地底湖だった。 御神木は、生き延びるため…。 九尾の中に蓄積されていた記憶と感情を取り込んだ。 それが理由で九尾の右目は金色へと変わり、その目では人々の心を感じ取ることができなくなった。 今もその力を残しているのは、碧い左目だけだった。 それでも九尾は御神木を憎まなかった。 御神木もまた、生き延びるためにそうするしかなかったことを知ったから。 その枝には九尾が長い年月見守ってきた人々の悲しみや願い、生きた証が宿っている。 九尾はこの地に留まることを選んだ。御神木と、その中に残された無数の記憶を守るために。 そして今。 御神木へ刃を向ける者が現れた時、九尾は静かにその前へ立ちはだかる。 To keep from losing what must be protected, the Nine-Tailed Fox—who had always watched in silence—stands before the blade for the first time. The two Sacred Trees, one in the Azure World and the other deep beneath Valdir, were once a single tree. For countless years, the Nine-Tailed Fox lived in the Azure World, sensing the sorrow, confusion, wishes, and memories carried within human hearts. Over time, those emotions became part of the Fox itself. The Sacred Tree beneath Valdir had survived by feeding on people’s memories and emotions. But as that source of sustenance began to fade, it reached out to the Sacred Tree in the Azure World, which shared the same roots, in order to survive. Through that connection, the Nine-Tailed Fox—who had accumulated countless emotions over many years—was drawn into a “Rift.” After falling through an endless spiral-like dimension, it arrived at an underground lake hidden deep beneath Valdir. In order to survive, the Sacred Tree absorbed the memories and emotions stored within the Fox. Because of this, the Fox’s right eye turned gold, and through that eye it could no longer sense the hearts of others. Only its azure left eye still retained that ability. Even so, the Fox did not hate the Sacred Tree. It understood that the tree had done what it had to do in order to survive. Within its branches now remained the sorrow, wishes, and traces of the lives of the people the Fox had watched over for so many years. The Nine-Tailed Fox chose to remain in this place, protecting the Sacred Tree and the countless memories that still lived within it. And now, when someone raises a blade against the Sacred Tree, the Nine-Tailed Fox quietly steps forward and stands in their way.
