Notice how the headlines work. A Toyota crashes: "Driver injured in crash." A Ford crashes: "Two cars collide on highway." A BMW crashes: "Accident on Route 1." A Tesla crashes: "TESLA crashes." Not the driver. Not "a car." The brand, in the headline, every single time. Millions of crashes happen on the roads every year, and almost none come with a brand name. But when it's a Tesla, legacy media suddenly cares which car it was. Meanwhile, Tesla publishes its own safety data every quarter. With Autopilot engaged, Teslas go far more miles between crashes than the US average. That's not journalism. That's a campaign. The cars keep getting safer. The headlines just keep getting louder.

Very positive and constructive conversation with @elonmusk today. Italy is looking with great interest at the opportunities offered by assisted driving technologies, with a focus on innovation and road safety, and supports a swift EU approval of Tesla Assisted Driving. Thanks for the exchange, Elon!

This is eye-opening. Europe’s share of global tech R&D has collapsed from 23% in 2005 to just 8% today, while the US has climbed to 62% and China has risen from near zero to 15%. South Korea now outspends Germany, France, the UK, and Italy combined in tech R&D. Yep, you read that right. This is the predictable result of policy choices that systematically favor control and redistribution over growth. Layered regulation, data rules, AI restrictions, labor rigidities, and precautionary frameworks, raises the cost and slows the pace of turning ideas into products, forcing companies to spend scarce resources on compliance rather than experimentation. High taxation and expansive redistributive systems extract capital that would otherwise fund private R&D and risk-taking, while shrinking the after-tax reward for building something new and scaling it. The broader left-leaning mindset that prioritizes equality of outcome over dynamism treats entrepreneurial success as something to be managed, taxed, or shared rather than unleashed and rewarded. Places that protect the returns to innovation and keep barriers low continue to pull ahead, attracting talent and capital that Europe increasingly loses. Europe’s relative decline is the cumulative outcome of treating dynamism as a problem to be regulated rather than the engine of prosperity. Without a shift toward lighter rules, lower burdens on enterprise, and greater tolerance for unequal outcomes from unequal effort, the gap will keep widening, and Europe will become an open-air museum for wealthy Americans and Asians.

The sheer fucking hypocrisy surrounding Elon Musk is breathtaking. For decades, billionaire-funded foundations have financed advocacy groups, political campaigns, legal organizations, and efforts to reshape public policy. George Soros is one of the most prominent examples. And somehow that influence is routinely presented as enlightened philanthropy. Then Elon Musk enters politics, spends openly, challenges powerful institutions, and suddenly the entire establishment discovers the dangers of billionaire influence. Give me a fucking break. The man has built companies that launch rockets, connect the world through satellites, manufacture vehicles, and advance technologies with enormous implications for humanity. His long-term ambition is to make civilization multiplanetary. He has a profound personal interest in a future where technological progress remains possible. You can disagree with his politics. But pretending he’s just another billionaire looking for influence ignores the extraordinary scale of what he’s actually trying to accomplish.

Last week I did an interview for ITV, promoting my new live show. In the interview I say that Rupert Lowe has his legal bills paid for by Elon Musk. Rupert Lowe has contacted me to point out that that isn’t the case. Happy to set the record straight and apologise for the error.

easyJet has just announced that it will be installing SpaceX's @Starlink on its fleet. Installations will start in first half of 2027 across the airline’s modern A320, A320neo and A321neo fleet, with the rollout expected to be completed by early 2028. "easyJet’s investment in onboard connectivity is a key step in further enhancing the experience for 100 million passengers who already choose to fly with the airline each year." easyJet CEO Kenton Jarvis: “Innovation is in easyJet’s DNA and partnering with SpaceX to bring Starlink’s high-speed internet connectivity onboard for the first time will not only further enhance the experience we provide millions of customers, but means we are offering more of the options both business and leisure travellers want when they choose who they fly with. Giving customers the opportunity to get online in the air will mean even greater choice and convenience when you fly with easyJet."

Unpopular opinion after 13 years in UK EVs: range isn't what stops most people switching. It's that nobody explains the running costs clearly. Real-world petrol (36mpg) costs about 22p a mile. An EV charged off-peak at home costs about 2p. Check your own numbers: switch2ev.uk/savings-snapsho…

Correct. Using Starlink, a civilian commercial service, for offensive drone strikes to kill people has never been allowed, nor should it be. Starshield, a different system, is controlled by the US government. What they decide to do is up to them. Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week. Starlink remains critical to the defense of Ukraine, as it is the only system that cannot be jammed or blown up, at least for now. Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately. This is NOT a threat, it is simply a statement of fact. Starlink was also crucial to preventing Russia from overrunning Ukraine in the early days of the war, as all other means of communication were destroyed or jammed by Russia. SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any private company on Earth BY FAR. That said, I have nothing but UTTER CONTEMPT for the virtue-signaling evil warmongers who push for endless slaughter and offer no realistic solution to the conflict. May you burn in hell. End of story.
STARLINK WORKS THE SAME WAY ITS ALWAYS WORKED. ITS NOT A WEAPONS SYSTEM, NO MATTER HOW MUCH UKRAINE WANTS IT TO BE.

Owen Jones came on Triggernometry. After being given lots of speaking time, he was asked a few probing questions and immediately turned the conversation into a gotcha style debate. This naturally resulted in him being destroyed with facts and lots of people on the internet laughing at him. Now he is so butthurt, he spends his days posting videos no one watches about how he was right about everything. While having me and Francis blocked. Loser energy.

Getting gas locally is good short term, but it won’t cut bills. Heat pumps can. Hundreds and thousands will save on bills this winter with their heat pump (on avg, £230 a year on Cosy Octopus vs a gas boiler).

JPMorgan has raised its SpaceX price target to $500 (from $240), which would be a $6.6 trillion market cap. The analyst now forecasts 2027 SpaceX revenue of $254 billion. Computing capacity could reach 10 GW by year-end. He said he continues to see strong strategic logic in a potential merger between SpaceX and Tesla.
