Foreign aid is being slashed across the rich world.
That makes every remaining dollar more precious.
Yet more than a third of development money has been diverted to climate finance.
Instead, let's spend scarce aid where it saves the most lives.

Belgium is reversing course on nuclear.
Decommissioning has been halted.
The government has signed a letter of intent with Engie for a full state takeover of the nuclear fleet.
For years, Belgium followed the green script. They shut reliable nuclear. Bet on weather-dependent power. And increased reliance on imports.
Now reality has intervened.
Prime Minister Bart De Wever says Belgium wants safe, affordable, sustainable energy with less dependence on foreign supply -- which raises the obvious question, why was that not Belgium's policy all along?
Nuclear was always the sane option. Dense power. Low carbon. Dispatchable. Domestic control. It works when wind drops. It works when the sun sets. It works when gas prices spike.
Belgium is not "transitioning." It is backing away from a big mistake. Europe, it appears, is finally waking up to the green folly.

A large tree trunk has been uncovered beneath a glacier in the Alps, dated to around 6,000 years ago.
The species is Swiss stone pine.
Today, trees of that type cannot grow at that altitude because it is far too cold.
This means that when that tree was alive, the climate there had to be warmer than today.
6,000 years ago aligns with the Holocene climate optimum, a time when temperatures were far higher than now, even with far less atmospheric CO2.
Earth's climate is cyclical and Mother Nature self-regulates.
Narratives of doom serve political aims, not reality.

We need better fire policy (prescribed burns, let some burn) and better climate info

Spot the CO2-induced rapidly rising sea level crisis and run for the hills everybody!! 😱 🏃♂️
Around the year 1900, roughly 10% of Earth's land was covered by glacial ice. More than a century later, that number is still roughly 10%.
Mountain glaciers have retreated, sometimes dramatically, but almost all of Earth's land ice is locked in the vast Greenland and Antarctic ice sheets, which together, despite alarmist headlines, are showing little to no overall loss - the global footprint has barely changed.
Floating Arctic sea ice is already in the ocean, which is important when considering sea level concerns.
Arctic melting has essentially no effect on sea level.
Land ice is what matters.
And after more than a century of data, about one-tenth of Earth's land is still covered by glacial ice.
10% then.
10% now.

This is blatantly dishonest framing.
CO₂ isn't analogous to drowning a plant in water. Look at the actual plant-response curve.
We're at ~425 ppm. Even 1,000 ppm CO₂ is routinely used to enhance plant growth in controlled agriculture and is nowhere near directly toxic to most plants.
Yes, other factors limit growth. That doesn't magically erase the CO₂ fertilization effect.
Calling “CO₂ is plant food” a denial tactic isn't science.
It's climate alarmist propaganda!
🌍 CLIMATE DENIAL TACTIC:
“CO₂ is plant food, so more CO₂ is good!”
Yes — plants need CO₂ for photosynthesis.
But that doesn't mean unlimited extra CO₂ is harmless.
Higher CO₂ can increase plant growth under some conditions, but plants are also limited by water, nutrients, temperature, pests and extreme weather.
And meanwhile, extra atmospheric CO₂ strengthens the greenhouse effect and drives ocean acidification.
Saying “CO₂ is plant food” is like saying:
“Water is essential, therefore flooding can't be harmful.”
Something can be essential to life and still be harmful in excess.

There is a great misconception about rising CO₂ levels at the heart of global warming.
Doubling CO₂ levels from 400 ppm to 800 ppm retains the exact same incremental amount of longwave radiation as doubling it from 200 ppm to 400 ppm did—even though the actual volume of CO₂ added has doubled.
This reduction in the rate of heat retention continues to fall along a sliding scale of a logarithmic curve; no matter how much the global level of CO₂ increases, it's effects continue to fall by half.
The atmosphere gets a bit warmer as CO₂ increases, but not nearly as much as before. As CO₂ levels increase, warming slows down dramatically, and continue to drop. This means forecasts of runaway warming from CO₂ alone is not only improbable, it is impossible.
This occurs because the primary absorption bands for CO₂ (centered around the 15-micrometer wavelength) are already heavily saturated. This saturation effect begins at 100 ppm. Each incremental increase in atmospheric CO₂ traps less escaping longwave radiation than the preceding unit.
What this means is that as atmospheric CO₂ increases, it absorbs less and less escaping longwave radiation. The effects of more CO₂ fall away sharply.
The global warming narrative as shaped and presented by a United Nations-led collective of investors, asset managers, and political figures, neglects to tell you this.
The UN has never clearly explained how the effects of higher CO₂ will continue falling along this predictable logarithmic curve. As CO₂ levels rise, the rate of temperature increase falls and slows down dramatically.
The bureaucratic mechanisms being used are based on things like levels of carbon taxes, the amount of subsidies being paid to install wind and solar installations and land-use restrictions. These are all being justified using simplified catastrophic projections, they ignore the natural stabilising buffers built into Earth’s physics and biology.
The Earth system does not behave like an uncontrolled runaway machine. It behaves exactly like a complex, heavily buffered dynamic planetary equilibrium should. It is entirely dominated by this logarithmic decline in the rate of warming and the powerful role of biological feedback loops.
Revisiting the empirical realities of vast levels of terrestrial greening and CO₂ radiative saturation levels does not mean ignoring environmental stewardship. Instead, it exposes the deliberate disconnect between real physical science and the economic and political mandates designed to manage it. The primary driver is funding it and market it as part of a vast new economy based on a transitionto intermittent renewable energy.
This staggering cost of $9.2 trillion every year represents roughly 9% of total global GDP—with the cumulative $275 trillion price tag amounting to nearly 2.5 times the total annual output of the entire planet.

Amazingly, the methane bubble that was going to kill us all turns out to be just another overhyped Climate fantasy.
For years we were told thawing permafrost would unleash a "methane bomb." But new pan-Arctic research dismantles those fears.
Across Canada, Greenland, Siberia and Alaska, scientists found methane-eating microbes dominating methane-producing ones.
This means that even under thaw conditions, the Arctic can act as a methane sink, not a source.
Other studies echo the same result: Natural microbial competition suppresses methane, not amplifies it.
The latest data all point one way...
Runaway methane was just another overhyped climate scare. Nature has it covered.

Wind and solar deliver some of the most expensive electricity because they need near full gas backup to keep the grid steady.
A 100 megawatt wind farm still needs roughly 100 megawatts of fast start gas power behind it - another $100 million cost.
Consumers pay for the backup, developers collect the subsidies, and that's before counting the fiberglass blades that can't be recycled, the concrete bases that can't be reused, and the rare earth mining that makes it all possible.
They call it 'clean energy' but it's built on coal, gas, concrete - and deceit.
