THE CEASEFIRE HAS COMMENCED
The ceasefire between Ukraine and Russia took effect at 4:00am Moscow time on October 27, 2026.
Timing was accelerated two days ahead of schedule to protect the safety of civilians and to facilitate the delivery of critical humanitarian aid. The ceasefire’s geographic area has expanded beyond Oleshky, within the Kherson Region, to provide safe passage for the humanitarian convoys.
General Valery Gerasimov, Joint Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces has confirmed.

With a quarter of ballot boxes in and 1.2 million votes counted, the pro-Netanyahu bloc projects to 63 seats against 49, with the Joint List at 8.
Likud sits at 23.4% of the vote, Eisenkot's Yashar at 15.7% and Bennett at 8.5%, but the number that decides the night is Ra'am at 3.2% against a 3.25% threshold.
If the Islamist party ends up under the line, its votes vanish and the seats scatter to everyone else, which is how a dead-heat exit poll becomes a Netanyahu majority.
Party leaders start coalition talks when the sun comes up, and if the threshold holds where it is, those talks are short, and Netanyahu forms a government by the weekend.

Prime Minister Netanyahu addressed Likud supporters following the conclusion of voting in Israel’s elections, declaring that Likud is the largest party in Israel and that the right-wing holds a clear majority among Jewish voters. Netanyahu blasted left-wing media outlets, accusing them of attempting to suppress voter turnout by falsely portraying Likud as a party with just 18 seats. He called for the formation of a stable, national right-wing government that does not rely on parties he described as supporters of terrorism.
Netanyahu also warned that the war against Iran is not over, saying the Iranian regime will continue seeking Israel’s destruction as long as it remains in power.
