So many comments on the Carney/Russia thing calling it āsoftā or āwokeā. Iām proud to have a leader that stands up to Russia and its bullshit, instead of the idiot down south who caters to his every whim. Thank you @MarkJCarney for taking a stand

ALT Two cutouts of Connor McDavid on ice in an Oilers uniform. Text around those photos reads "Connor McDavid. Edmonton Oilers #97. Fastest player in NHL history to 30 assists in a season." Canadian here America.
You allow trillionaires to spend almost a billion dollars to influence your elections in your own country?
And Hoekstra is trying to blame Canada?
Is this a joke?

Good conversation with President @realDonaldTrump on the future of Canada-U.S. trade.
This builds on our recent constructive discussions on the outlines of a mutually beneficial trade deal that would create jobs for our workers, boost affordability for families, and fully respect Canadaās languages, culture, and sovereignty.
Our teams will now be working in the coming weeks to deliver that outcome.

Merit-based hiring? From the UCP? Are you kidding?
Insecure leaders donāt hire competent people. They hire people who wonāt threaten their position.
The UCP has spent years pushing competent people out and replacing them with political loyalists. Now they want to lecture Albertans about hiring the best person for the job?
This is about saving face with a base that has lost confidence in the UCP.
With an AGM looming, court cases mounting and RCMP investigations underway, the Premier needs distractions.
Meanwhile, governing takes a backseat. Affordability, healthcare and the issues affecting Albertans every day are left unaddressed.
This isnāt about competency. Itās about political survival from a government increasingly out of touch.

The best person for the job should get the job. Period.
Today we tabled legislation that would ensure hiring and promotion decisions in the public sector are based on merit, not DEI policies. Mandatory workplace training will be relevant to the roles and responsibilities of the employee, instead of mandatory DEI sessions.
Every Albertan deserves a fair shot, and fairness means everyone competes on the same terms.
