It’s good that I was born when I was with zero pedigree or importance because if I were born a medieval queen everyone that chews with their mouth open would be dead.
I thought I was prepared after 17 years of Alzheimer’s but my mom died last Friday and the only words I can find that describe how I’m feeling are “unexpectedly brittle.”
In some ways with her passing I feel closer to the version of her before she got sick and mean and forgot us and I miss that her a lot.
